This picture is special to me because it represents a graduation of cameras and skills. It was taken in Barrie, Ontario Canada at the Canada Day celebrations. The fireworks display is the culmination of our city's Canada Day/Promenade Days celebration.

I love kayaking. I was fortunate enough to grow up on the water. I love to spend time as much time as possible on the water. The photo was taken on Rainy River in International Falls, MN. The land in the background is Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada. I took the photo one summer evening a couple of years ago. How does it relate.... most people don't have the option of driving a couple of miles and then go paddling, so I chose to categorize this photo as travel (it is one way to move around on the water)/Vacation (it is a mini vacation for me when I can get out on the water away from everything and just relax).

At night it looked like the galaxy was watching over the people in the town below.

The picture represents unity. I was in San Francisco recently, reuniting with a good friend and i noticed that the bridge comes together in the middle. Most people focus on the entire bridge when photographing it, but I see that this pillar is holding the bridge together. The wires unite in the middle to create something beautiful. I took this picture on March 7, 2015.
