This is a photograph taken in studio of my dearest Twister, my best friend. The day I got out of the hospital after a massive operation, my boyfriend brought me this adorable puppy named Twister. Mt Rainier is in the Pacific Northwest where rainy and gloomy weather happen often. I took this picture on the night before my hike to Camp Muir(Mt Rainier's base camp). The weather was not good as it was very cloudy and foggy. I waited until 2am for the sky to clear up. The night was cold despite being in the middle of summer. My daughter-in-law took this photograph of my son holding grandson & I've been taking and looking at photos for over 40 years now - and it's one of my all time favorite photos - so I submitted it (with her permission...she's too humble to do it herself)... I have to admit that she and my son are both better photographers than I am (which makes me happy)...we all wonder about the little guy's potential for photographic talent - although we all also (sometimes) secretly hope he becomes a lawyer (starving artist isn't as fun as it sounds).
