I took this shot at the 2013 St Patrick's Day parade in London, just as I was crossing a road the gentleman in the picture was walking towards me. As I raised my camera he paused and subtly stood up straight for barely half a second to let me get the shot, then gave me a smile as we passed one-another. This was one of my first lightning pictures, and this one made a huge blast, and the lightning was so bright that all the sky became whyte and i did not see it until i saw the picture. It was taken outside my house in Antanhol, Coimbra, on May 17th 2011 not the best location for this kind of pictures, but i think that it turned out to be a great picture. It may sound silly, but the day i took this picture was a beautiful day. I went with my friends to Punta del Este, and we skipped stones in a lake.
