After backpacking through Europe, my brother and I spent a week on safari in Kenya. This photo was one of several thousand that I took during a drive through the Amboseli National Park. I shot this photo in Venice this past summer. This time, we were in Venice for only a day, since we were gpoing to be embarking on a Mediterranean cruise from there the following day. On previous visits to this most most magical and photogenic of cities, we have been fortunate enough to have been able to stay somewhat longer. I was inspired by Scott Dickson and high speed photography and I captured the very moment when the needle pops the balloon filled with water. I took it at the start of March,2014 in my backyard using black bed sheets as background. It is artistic and creative because it's not just a normal water balloon, by adding props such as sunglasses or hats we get more action inside a frame.
