I came across these people and their dog standing at the the top of a hill. They seemed deeply involved in a conversation and, consequently, I became deeply involved in capturing the moment. Shortly after I made this exposure, they hugged and the man parted to the right while the woman and her dog left in the opposite direction. Photo Story: After seeing pictures of a slot canyon, I decided that it was something I needed to experience first hand. This picture was from Lower Antelope Canyon in Paige, AZ, and it was taken with my new Z812IS. On our vacation to the Black Hills area in South Dakota we visited the Mt. Rushmore National Monument. I captured this close up of George Washington in black & white. George Washington was our 1st president, and his face was selected to be carved at Mt. Rushmore because he represented the struggle for independence. I took this photo on a trip to Southern Spain this summer with my mother and my daughter. We were in a shop in Granada, Spain near the cathedral. It was full of the polka dot dresses that are used to dance flamenco. I found the shoes in a back corner of the shop. I love the colors and the jumbled layout of the children's shoes.
