A family summer vacation to New York City. The wonder and beauty of seeing the Statue of Liberty for the first time. Even as these children are seeing it for the first time, and for me, seeing it many times, it still captures a moment of hope and new opportunities in life.

Every year, on Easter Sunday, there is an event called “Bring Your Own Big Wheel” where people race down a street with many twists and turns in a “big wheel”. A big wheel in this case can be anything with wheels, but more often than not, is supposed to be for children: a Barbie jeep, a tricycle, etc.
The event is fun, chaotic, whimsical, silly, and really feels like the epitome of San Francisco energy. People dress up in bold/whacky outfits, sometimes even costumes, so you can usually tell who is attending.
I spotted this family about a block away walking in the direction of the event. From mismatching suit to the frog purse, they looked just fabulous. I automatically assumed they were attending the event, until I forgot that it was also Easter. They very well could have been on their way to a Brunch or even a Religious Service. In my mind, they did all three.
This photo to me captures the essence of San Francisco and the duality of that beautiful, colorful day.

We enjoyed taking our two oldest boys to the New Orleans Pelicans v. Spurs game. They cheered and danced the entire night. A fun family memory that we will always cherish.

To say I was heartbroken to leave is a massive understatement. We only stayed two nights in Tagazhout but the time we spent there genuinely changed my view of the world. The sun, the people, the surf, all such a stark contrast to London. I loved every second of it.

Morning exploring in the Oregon dunes with Zelda. I recently started shooting film and was excited to test out Porta 800. After an hour of exploring, Zelda and I heard a pack of coyotes in the nearby woods. It sounded uncomfortably close so we decided to quickly explore in the opposite direction. After our unplanned cardio session, we stumbled upon this spot where we found our shot.

Took a solo trip to Paris and wondered the streets of Paris after going to the popular tourist spot to see the tour and stumbled on a park with this view and I was one of only 3 people in this spot. So naturally I had to get a pic!

I really liked the style and energy of this lady I saw in Sapanca, where we went for a trip. I photographed it in the wonderful nature and greenery of Sapanca.

This is a photo of my friend Wyatt seeing Pioneer Peak in Alaska’s Matanuska Valley for the first time. Wyatt currently lives in Georgia and he came to visit me for a few days to see Alaska. I couldn’t help but notice him soaking in the scenery, too stunned to even take a photo. Shot on Ultramax with my Nikon F3.

I was about to light a cigarette, with my camera hanging around my neck, when my boyfriend pointed out that a cat had sat on the statue's crown behind me. I dropped everything to capture it in this photo. It took only 30 seconds, after which it left. I learned that you always have to be in the present moment when taking pictures, otherwise, who knows what you might miss?!

That was one of those moments when I thought to myself, "Oh yeah, I've got this!" I sat to relax and admire the beauty of nature, mountains, fog, tranquility, and the sun that was about to set. After walking up the mountain for more than 7 kilometers, I felt truly happy and relaxed.

Venturing into the heart of Hokkaido's rugged landscape with nothing but my trusty film camera was an experience unlike any other. As I embarked on this photographic odyssey, I found myself immersed in a world of raw beauty and untamed wilderness.

My wife, Madison, walking our golden retriever puppy, Athena, for the first time at McConnell’s Mill State Park in Pennsylvania. Athena was so excited she was practically bouncing them down the trail in front of me. I ducked to the side and quickly snapped this with my Pentax 67 on Ektar 100 I had intended on using for the fall colors.

I love film photography for its unpredictability and imperfections, for the way it‘s able to capture the feelings that were felt in a particular moment through grain and contrast and shadow and light. When I will look at this picture that I took in bangkok in 5 or 10 or 20 years I hope it does that for me - bring back the feeling of standing there in a temple overlooking the chaos called bangkok, 3 months of traveling ahead of me and hundreds of memories that are yet to be made.

It was a sunny day at Coogee Beach, and I was sitting on the Coogee Rainbow Walkway, observing the people around me. A family consisting of a father, mother, and son passed by, coming close to where I was seated. The child showed his excitement and curiosity as he ran around, laughing joyfully. After that, the mother left somewhere, leaving the child to sit down next to his father and listen attentively to what he showed points of interest around the beach.
In this moment of connection between father and son, a warm sense of nostalgia touched me. It was a simple yet profound moment.

It's our Daddy's 40th Birthday!!! 🎁 🎉🎂
.
Happy Birthday Daddy. We love you SO much. Thanks for the adventures, the dining room footy matches, the snacks, the treats, the shoulder lifts & the lols. You really are the BEST (& apparently the most fun even though mum is NOT happy about us saying that!).

The moment I captured is a memory of my culture. Hot days of kids playing, and other folks in the neighborhood sitting outside to enjoy the sun. Whether it’s getting their hair done, or just taking in the small moments of life.

During the dry winter in Minnesota 2023, I decided to take a trip to Miami with my Girlfriend to meet her family. We had an evening at her childhood home over south in Miami Florida after a full day of thrifting and shopping for clothes.
We shared stories memories and culture through the lens of Blackness and enriched our happiness enjoying the warmth of the tropical sun.
Captured is a self-portrait of I and my significant other, Dalayni Etienne hugging each other before enjoying our night with the family.
It is an honor to be given this opportunity and I hope to gain more in my future of film photography!
