Strolling through Kalemegdan Fortress in Belgrade, Serbia at sunset, I saw a couple sitting on a ledge overlooking the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers. You can see into New Belgrade across the river. 

This was one of my favorite moments from that evening as you could tell this couple was simply enjoying being in each other’s presence.

i’ve never officially introduced myself on here, but here we are - my name is Chelsea, and I live in Vancouver, BC Canada. I have always been super interested in photography and have always had cameras and experimented with different editing styles. About 8 months ago I purchased a fuji camera in hopes I would capture beautiful film like images and become better at taking photos. Since then I have taken many photos and learned a ton along the way, from learning the exposure triangle, to composition and what lighting conditions work best depending on your subject. I am now shooting with film and learning more about how it all works, and I gotta say… there’s nothing quite like film. My favourite things to shoot are landscape, street life, people and architecture. Shadows, light and color are what I am always searching for. Oh, and fun fact - I have an identical twin! 

On this photo is me climbing iconic and challenging Passo Gavia, one of the featured segments in Giro d’Italia. 

I’m a documentary family photographer, and this photo was taken in Atlanta during a family photo session on a hot summer day. 

A young family enjoying a breathtaking view of the Alhambra on a hot, sunny day in Granada, Spain. The combination of moments in this frame prompted me to press the shutter: the father immortalizing the iconic view, coupled with the joy of shared moments between mom and daughter, and the kid with the Spanish soccer jersey looking elsewhere, oblivious to the enduring allure of the Spanish treasure that he has in front of his eyes.

It was golden hour during Afro Fest.

The ☀️ was blazing all day and was just starting to set.

I saw a patch of light down a lane where vendors selling merch were and decided to stand there until i saw something to photograph. Boom!! A Fashionable gentlemen appears and without saying a word, i pointed at his outfit and asked him to stand in light..  He knew the assignment and this photo was the result. 

After a boat trip from Como city to Varenna, enjoying strolling around with a refreshing Ice Cream. 

Relieving smile after final university exam, captured on T-Max 100 and home developed. 

How do you take a unique picture of such a famous Yosemite view that is photographed hundreds of times a day? 

In my take on Yosemite’s tunnel view, I wanted to show off this talented artist along with the stunning view we were both trying to capture. Enjoy 

I made a project called “Horsecret” & shoot them with my my Kodak ektachrome expired film on Canon A-1. This moment was from this summer. I went to riding school to see my friends. Name of the horse in the photo is “Zeplin” . She was carriage horse in the İstanbul islands before caming to school. That’s the reason that she looks happy & calm with her long beautiful tail. We enjoyed riding & talking under the golden sun. I felt so happy to documenting this moment. 

One day at the summer festival

My friends and I went snorkeling that day in Puerto Escondido, Mexico where I was living for two months. We were sitting at the back of the pick up truck, enjoying the warm evening sun while driving back. That’s when I took this photo of my lovely friend Franzi. 💛

There are certain colour combinations that straight away bring the summer vibe back for me, like in this moment that I captured recently on the Kodak UltraMax 400. Which colours of the summer do you miss the most once it's over?

I had a trip to LA 2 weeks ago and I visited the Venice Beach. The skatepark there is very famous and there were a lot of people skateboarding before the sunset, this is the first picture of the roll so that it only shows part of the frame. It's difficult to shoot using film when people are moving given the light condition and shutter speed, but this one looks not bad.

First time shooting analog.

Every year for my son’s birthday I sneak balloons into his room while he’s sleeping and he wakes up to a surprise balloon party to start his big day! It is fun for us all and his joy is priceless.

Walking through Regent's Park trying to find the trace of the first ones, but it was falling in the rain, the flowers had not yet opened, and the trees were like snow.

Continue walking through Regent’s Park to catch up with the hit of the One Day Netlix series release and reach Primrose Hill, where Dexter and Emma met for a picnic for one of the year.

The road was still muddy and the sky was grey; when climbing to the top of the hill, the trees turned from gray to golden, just in time to set the sun. Looking at the London skyline, gradually a small stir came from the crowd, the original umbrella refracted the sun, the rainbow crossed the sky, adding colorful joy to golden hour.

When it comes to leaving, the sky no longer shines, the golden light turns into another relatively dim rainbow, contrasting color refracting and parallel. Only later did I realize this was the neon phenomenon of double rainbow.

Unexpectedly met, but achieved a good moment. Memories shared with friends are not lost.

Serendipity.

It was one of the most magical moments of the trip to the French Pyrenees. After spending the night camping at the Montagnon Peak, watching the sunrise by the lake with a cup of coffee in hand was the best way to start a new day.

The photo shows my sister Amelia, during our family holidays in Lombardy, Italy. We spent the most time by Lake Iseo (where picture was taken), which isn't as touristic as Como or Garda, but it has unique peaceful vibe. This picture is a souvenir of this blissful time.

Being a grandma is probably the best gift ever. I try to capture every moment because moments like these don’t last forever.

The sunlight poured into the room like liquid gold, making everything glow. I lay there, soaking up the last warmth of summer. It was August 31st, and Prague still held on to the season despite September knocking at the door. I wasn't in a hurry to welcome the next month. The film roll, almost forgotten since the vacation, had one more story to tell.

First-world problems, I thought. The world outside was still sweltering, with a heatwave that didn't want to leave. But here, lying on the cool floor, I was in between seasons, feeling nostalgic and indifferent at the same time. The only sound breaking the silence was the gentle hum of the fan, a soothing melody that accompanied my lazy goodbye to the fading freedom of the sun-soaked days.

This photo captures a moment from when I was looking after my friend's cats while they were off traveling. One of the cats sat calmly, observing the world with a look of curiosity, while the other found itself mesmerized by its own reflection in a mirror. The scene turned into an adorable moment of confusion and wonder, perfectly encapsulating the playful and curious nature of cats. The quiet atmosphere of the room, paired with their amusing expressions, made this simple moment something worth remembering.
