KODAK MOMENT of the Day

As I made my way up the stairs to the Supertree Observatory in Singapore, I noticed a child watching me intently, his face pressed against the glass with curiosity. I was the only person on the stairs, and the unexpected moment made me laugh. Instinctively, I knew it would make for a great photo. After capturing the shot, I made sure to connect with the family and shared the image with them as soon as it was processed. I hope it serves as a cherished keepsake from their family trip—one of those little moments that make travel unforgettable.

My daughters and niece (the tall one lol) inspire me to be a better father day after day. I make a ton of mistakes along the way, but they continue to give me the privilege and grace to guide them in this world, and for that I am grateful. I guess the good outweighs the bad. This is a moment of happiness that I will return to regularly throughout 2025.

This cat had the attention of every passerby in Kakopetria, Cyprus, where i visited this past September. It was difficult to get a picture of him alone, but I realized getting him mid scratch said the most about his personality. Assomeone who volunteers with animal rescues, I was delighted with how cats are taken care of all over Cyprus. There is a definite campaign to keep animals spayed and neutered, vending machines where you can dish out feed to cats for a euro, and no cats as far as I saw showing any signs of disease. All this came together in this photo, where this curious fellow is glancing over his bench while getting yet another person's affection.

This beautiful wedding took place at Oak, Island NC. The golden hour was hitting just right and the bride was looking over and just being in the moment. I had to snap this moment so quickly and I couldn’t be happier with how this picture looks.

I had a morning shoot this day, so I decided to wake up extra early to see the SF sunrise. I sped over to Ina Coolbrith Park to see the morning glow over the Bay Bridge. To my surprise, Karl the Fog took the day off and gifted us the most magical views. 

The Silhouette of  the woman engrossed in her thoughts and the warm glow  of the sunlight on the table and the breathtaking ocean backdrop  is my perfect moment to capture this beautiful and timeless moment. This feels like a perfect slice of life,  where everything aligns to create a timeless picturesque memory.

While visiting Oregon we drove up to Crater Lake and along the way we stopped at an old barn to look at the cows. Our car ended up getting stuck on the side of the road, while waiting to be rescued I got this photo of my cousin Olivia crossing the road.

Thanksgiving 2024. Our family loves to include our pets in our gatherings and this is just one of many moments captured that day.. our pets are a part of our family!! 

No matter how much these two annoy each other at the end of the day they are still each others best friend. 

After a long stretch of rainy gloomy weeks in Washington State, the sun finally was forecasted. There was no doubt I was going to be in my happy place aka the Cascade Mountains to mark the moment! The mountain peaks coated in fresh snow looked majestic as they emerged from the morning fog. The sound of snow melt, warm sunshine and blue sky were all I needed. Vitamin D was the icing on the cake!

As always in winter we went for a cozy hike with my uncle and my aunt. The sun was feeling warm and the snow reflected in my eyes. When they all went down the hill, this nice view was all I saw in that moment. I took my Leica M6 and released the shutter.

Beneath the towering skyline of New York, soft plumes of white steam rise from a subway vent, momentarily framing her figure. The late afternoon sun breaks through the gaps between tall buildings, casting a radiant glow around her silhouette. She gently lifts her gaze, cutting through the urban clamor, until her eyes meet the lens. In that suspended moment, all the city’s bustle seems to fade, leaving only her calm, resolute presence illuminated by the golden light.

Solitude in the city: finding peace and reflection in the heart of Budapest.

I wanted to visit Alberta and its national park for years. I was always amazed by the nature and its beauty. During my roadtrip ind Mid-October last year I drove South from Jasper on Icefields Parkway intending to stop at Peyto Lake. Unfortunately I wasn't so lucky with the weather. So I returned another day and was lucky to catch the lake and its surroundings on late sunny afternoon.

This is a portrait of my partner, Jalil Johnson, writer of the Substack “Consider Yourself Cultured.” I shot this in Tannersville, NY, in a creek behind the house we were living in at the time. The image marks five years together as a couple and combines our love of the mountains and the city!

A Rainy December day in Frome. I'm picking up some books and I walk past this guy - Jake. Just sat there watching the world go by on a Saturday morning enjoying a moment with his beer (yes, we have beer in the mornings in deepest darkest Somerset.)  The torn coat, tattoos, the half buttoned shirt that was questionable considering the weather... I was hooked! One of the cooler strangers I've had the joy of photographing and chatting with. I'm glad I gatecrashed and asked to do his portrait ;)

I love how kids sees the world and how beautiful they are. Just had to capture this little moment of her looking at surfers and she saying “oh I can definitely do that” haha yes you can do everything that your little heart desires.

My Brother and Sister in law came into town for a weekend visit , and we decided to go up to the mountains to see the snow. As we get to the lake at the top of the mountain the snow is starting to really fall down, and everyone is entranced by the beauty of the snow.  My brother looks at my sister in law , pulls her in close , whispers “I Love you” and fully embraces her .
