Getting into the outdoors is always a great period for reflection - although the seclusion provided by truly entering the wilderness makes the sense of reflection just a little deeper. I love this photo because this Jack Russell Terrier looked just like my Schnurbart. This dog?s owner decided to hit the surfs and this dog hardly took his eyes off him, even as I plunged my knees into the sand and crouched to get a better frame (with a 35mm lens, I was really close). We watched some great surfers today October 10, 2012 at Honolua, Maui, Hawaii. The action was breathtaking and the skill level was astounding. This will be an image in my mind for a lon time.
