I took the photo underneath the Brooklyn Bridge inorder to include the night skyline of New York City with the lights reflecting in the water.The photo was taken in honor of the Bridge's 100th birthday in August 1981. I love watching the hummingbirds at the feeder outside my patio door. They, however, are difficult to catch on film. So, I decided to try to get pictures of some of the creatures that raid the feeder. The lizards are there often, using their long tongues to drink from the holes. This one was very cooperative, allowing me to take several close-ups with my Kodak LS443 before jumping from the feeder to the house and scurrying off into the bushes. This is Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada, and where Swiss Air Flight 111 crashed into the water killing all aboard. I was serving in the Army at that time, and was involved in the cleanup. This picture is special to me because this was the first time I visited here since that time in my life, and since I took up photography. I took this picture in February 2003, and the wind coming right off of the water was a bone chilling -42c, and it made it very hard to breath.
