The light in a child's eyes is all it takes to make it a magical time of the year.

The love of the game
My step son Ashton was 13 years old and played in a tournament at Sports at the Beach in Delaware. It was the semi final game. It was suppose to be 7 innings, but because they remained tied went 10 innings. We were losing 9-2 when he came in to pitch the 2nd inning. He pitched 9 innings and started the last inning with a runner already placed on 2nd base. It was the hottest game he had ever pitched and came out with the win 11-10.Immediately after, every emotion he had built up the entire game came pouring out when he was able to embrace his father and finally breathe.

I bought her some makeup for Christmas. One day, before shopping, she wanted to do her own makeup, so I let her have fun and do her thing. Once she was done we went on our way; she has a brave soul. Of course we got looks but the best thing was strangers telling her how beautiful she is.

A Different View
Exactly 12 hours ago, we were enjoying our very first morning together, alone, in our new home. It was raining, and he “watered” flowers and “washed” his hands through the open window. So very happy; this moment was all I ever imagined, and all I could ever have hoped for. Yet tonight, I’m in my bed with a feverish little boy resting on my chest. While a fever is not at all a big deal, we never want to see our children unwell. Just goes to show how things can sometimes change in an instant. It’s so important to be grateful for all that we have, always. To push the trivial things aside and simply recognize all that truly matters.

The duties of a Ring Bearer
Our Gatsby themed wedding brought all ages to the dance floor. That's our little ring bearer, Benjamin, having a great time with his Auntie Grace. Even after taking photos all day in brisk Chicago weather, Benji still kept the party going!

Spending the day with my grandkids
I babysit for my grandchildren Edgar and Maya three times a week they are my joy. We have so much fun together. You’re always playing games watching cartoon movies together coloring they keep me going day after day and it makes me feel so young. There’s nothing like grandchildren, they are the best.

Big Bro helping out Little Bro
We were throwing the football around as we always do on Sundays here in Lubbock, Tx. The boys were thirsty and I told my older son Kaiden (8), to go help Kyler (4) get a drink from the park water fountain. Lucky for me, I had my S8Plus phone on me to capture these two silly boys doing what they do best, bringing a smile to my face. A true Kodak Moment!!! One of many moments these two give me each and every day. I am truly blessed with two very handsome young men!

My love learning how to smile and enjoy the little moments again after years of running a small business x
By Zoe Waddington
My husband and I ran our own business for 7 years and sold it in December last year. This is our year off before the next adventure. A year of travel. A year of fun and new experiences. A year of food and drink. A year to focus on ourselves. A year to learn to appreciate the little moments again. A year to learn to appreciate each other again. A year of us #chrisandzlesyearoffun
