So much to be grateful for ?

So much to be grateful for ?

So much to be grateful for ?

I came home from work last weekend and saw the two of them riding around on the lawnmower in the backyard.

When I walked to the backyard my son wanted to come say hi to me. So I picked him up, we said hello, and then he waddled back over to his dad on the lawnmower. Gesturing to be picked up, Cody picked him up and sat him on his lap. I pulled out my phone to take a couple pictures, and after taking a couple Carter leaned into his dad for a kiss, and I was able to capture the moment you see here.

This picture is a wonderful representation of the love and bond they share.

After the french quarantine, this photo was taken during the first street skate session with my friend Adrien.
The occasion to grab my Pentax 6x7 and cruise skateboarding the streets of Lille, north of France.
During the session we were talking about the quarantine and saying that it was "behind us" and so we wanted to do photos taken from the back of the subject ... here is an extract of this !

Going the extra mile for a smile

Going the extra mile for a smile

Going the extra mile for a smile

Our last ā€œin personā€ school day of the year was Thursday, March 12th. None of us knew we’d be out the rest of the year, and it’s been hard on everyone!  As the PE teacher of over 500 students, I love being able to have a connection with all of them.  It’s so strange to go from seeing all of those students in one building, to only seeing some with the help of technology at home.  For the month of April, I mailed a birthday note and balloons to the 51 students who would celebrate their birthday that month.  Once the weather got nice, I partnered up with our art teacher, Mrs. Belanger.  She made a design with each students name on the envelope, while I wrote a birthday note from the two of us and included some balloons for them to do for an activity at home.  Instead of mailing them, I decided to go for long walks in our school neighborhood once a week to personally deliver them.  Being able to actually see some of my students and their families made me extra grateful each week.  It’s those little things that make such a big impact.  We plan to continue this into the summer!

Hi! My name is Brooke Clemmons and I am a kindergarten teacher in Panama City Beach, Florida. I snapped this picture after decorating my car for our school parade!  It had been months since seeing my students due to the coronavirus and I thought decorating my car with lots of bright balloons would bring a BIG smile to their faces! It was such a great time and exactly what my teacher heart needed! Thank you for reaching out!

Sincerely,

Brooke Clemmons

This is Dr. Megan Castner. She received her Doctorate In Audiology from The University At Buffalo on May 15, 2020. This graduation day looked much different than expected. Although she wasn’t able to cross the stage and celebrate with her classmates. It was just as exciting! She walked across our deck with her 8 sided tam in the pouring rain and was greeted with a parade of honking cars. What a joyous day it was!

It is really real

It is really real

It is really real

Looking back on it now I never thought I would make it to this point. From working 2nd & 3rd shift 40+ hours a week and barely any sleep during the day, to fighting my depression and anxiety. I look back on all the obstacles I have overcome and couldn’t be prouder of myself and the man that I have become, because if you asked me a year ago I would’ve told you I wouldn’t have made it. I look at my future with optimism and faith that God will see me through anything just as he did with this exact moment. I have no clue where life will take me, but I will continuously chase my dreams with all I have in me. Wherever the world is about to take me, I’m ready.

Set in motion & ready for the journey #uncc20

I am beyond blessed to have had the opportunity to graduate from the illustrious ranks of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. God only knows the hardships I have faced throughout the process, but he gave me the perseverance to make it through. Being a transfer student to a school where I didn’t know anyone forced me to step out of my comfort zone and I’m forever grateful. I joined organizations, studied abroad, interned and created amazing bonds that I will cherish for a life time. UNC Charlotte has shaped me into the person that I am today and I will forever hold that in my heart. I want to thank my friends and family for the support along the way. Although my path may not be set in stone yet, it’s definitely set in motion and I’m ready for the journey. ???

This picture was taken in Guangzhou, China, one week after my wife and I adopted our daughter Samantha Mae through the "Wide Horizons for Children" adoption agency. Adoption is an amazing thing...one second you're "childless" and the next you're given complete responsibility for another life...for the rest of your life. To me, this picture shows the power of unconditional love.

"The #TheFrontStepsProject is incredible. I was thankful to squeeze in some families before the Mandate to stay home started here in #Hawaii. For my project, I did the shoots for free and in exchange, I just asked that they make a donation to the @bgca_clubs of Hawaii. I was excited to make an impact in my local community doing something that I love. Thankful that we were able to reach families and community members that I (alone) would not have been able to help."

#TheFrontStepsProject,

#TheFrontStepsProject,

#TheFrontStepsProject,

ā€œWhen I heard about this #TheFrontStepsProject, I knew it was something I wanted to do, and it felt like it had to be on #film. Film for me is the epitome of an uncurated and often imperfect snap of reality, and it seemed like the only way for me to honestly capture this time in history. It was a special few days before the shelter in place, mostly because social interaction felt so needed, and it was rare to have an excuse to see a friendly face. With that said, it was important to me that everyone involved felt free to express their current state as it was, I didn't want anyone to feel pressured to put on a happy face if they were feeling the weight of the world, and I didn't want people to pretend to be sad and scared if they were enjoying this time with loved ones and weren't in a darker place.ā€

This picture is special to me because it is a picture of my 2 babies, my daughter Harper who is 1.5 and our dog rocko who is 6. The love and bond between the 2 can melt anyone's heart. From the day we brought Harper home from the hospital he has been her protector. I took this photo at our home in our kitchen. I randomly walked in the kitchen and caught her smoochin his face. Had to snap a picture. He is not just an animal. He is our family and has been since my fiancƩ got him as a present 6 years ago for Christmas.
