KODAK MOMENT of the Day

This was taken in Edinburgh whilst on holiday, and was one of the many street performers in Edinburgh entertaining visitors. I particuarly liked the way he was made up, and thorougly enjoyed his act.

I took this picture on the way home from a trip to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. I had wanted a shot of the Body Head Lighthouse earlier in the day, but was happy to have stumbled upon it at night. The shot was taken in April, 2004.

I spotted this image of some copper tins at an antique dealership - and felt that it was a simple, colorful, and an interesting composition.

I caught this old man sitting in solitude and literally 'watching the world whiz by' the Jaffa Gate, Old City, Jerusalem. (I'm sure he would love to watch N.Y. traffic whizzing by too ... :-)

This bear was in our yard this morning at 8AM. Seems he was as curious about us as we were about him ;>) Just another day in Minden, central Ontario.

This picture is of my oldest child. She looked so pretty in green. Pink is her favorite color, but green just brought out her beautiful eyes. This image made me think of "pretty in pink" but here she is "pretty in green."

This picture was taken in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, in Feria Mundial La Grande -- a mobile amusement park. It was a very pleasant afternoon of joy with my family.

Took this photograph of a father and his sons, skipping stones on the water at sunset in Fish Creek, Wisconsin.

This picture was taken in June while visiting Shogran in Pakistan. We were actually in a meadow about 7,000 ft above sea level with an amazing view of the surrounding peaks. This picture just reminds me of wanting to do nothing but gaze at the incredible beauty around us.

Street artist in Singapore, shot the weekend of May 21, 2005. He was "performing" in one of the city's underpasses, with passerbys largely ignoring what he was doing.

Selective desaturation of all colors but yellow. I did some spot editting to clean up some ugly power lines at the top of the frame - and I cleaned up excess noise using NeatImage.

Taken in my home in Ottawa, Canada -- June 2005. Smokie is a very friendly pet, but takes on a special air of authority when wearing glasses. As Robert De Niro said "You talkin' to me?".

This is my daughter at her 6th birthday party. She had a pool party, and this photo truly illustrated the mood of the celebraion...big, bright, happy and FUN! Happy Birthday Karrington!

I was just about to go out to take some photos of the sun setting over the city when the rain clouds rolled in. Rather than let rain riun my outing, I decided to try to capture the storm instead. This photo is the end result

I took this picture on Father's Day, it was the last game of the season. Our team (red) had not one won game this year. Early in the game the other team (blue) was given a FREE direct kick on our goalie. He did not score! His failure to score must have boost our team's spirits because we won! The boys enjoyed this humorous "catch" from the days event!

I was taking pictures of daisies in our neighbors yard and was wondering how it would look if I shot it from the ground up, from an insects point of view. I love the blue sky as a background for the white pedals of the daisies. This is one way of getting close to nature and see how it looks from her side.

I couldn't believe how close I got! This was taken at Park Safari in Hemmingford, Quebec. They have a new lion enclosure, and the lion was less than 3 feet away. I shot it thorough a chainlink fence. I love getting up close and personal!

This picture was taken in Benin, West Africa -- as a village child smiles shyly at the camera. All my images were captured with a digital camera.

I took a picture of reflections of Philadelphia's City Hall on another building. The distorted reflections reminded me of surrealism. I took another image of a banner for the Salvador Dali Exhibit, changed the side of the building and added the banner image.

I like this picture because it is creative...

This is my 11 year old son. He got his first sponsor this year in skateboarding from West 49. He is so pumped and works so hard to improve!

This picture was taken in the old part of Sarajevo. I really liked her expression and her silly eyes. That's why I made the shot.

During her birthday party, Linda's friends decided to throw her in the water. I was amazed at the detail of the water splashes from the digital photo.

I love the surreal look of these flowers. I actually bought 3 of them just to take pictures of. I took this shot in my mini-studio in my basement. Mother nature sure creates wonderful things!

Taken at Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio. I kept thinking, "I wish people would get out of the way so I could take a good shot of the falls..." Then I looked beyond my own short-sightedness and saw what a nice interest this group of Amish ladies added to the scene. It's called "Seperate Ways" because of the split in the falls, the seperate culture of the Amish, and the one lady on the left looking away from the group.

This photo was taken inside our house, and is only some of of the stamps in my relatives stamp collection. Approximately 50 yrs old, the stamps remind me of our country's history.

Stumbled across this little guy and his family of burrowing owls living in the parking lot of a strip shopping mall here in Davie, FL. Even though we are destroying their homes with constant building, nature finds a way to survive. They live right next to a pizza place and a bar. Amazing.

Two Photos, a self portrait of my eyes and a sunflower leaf with a couple holes eaten out. :) Both photos were taken in London, Ontario. This image has special meaning to me, as I first looked through the holes, then digitally replicated what it might have looked like. I also think the title broken down matches each photo, and is a nice pun on them combined. :)

I am an aspiring Photographer, who has a special interest in thoroughbred race horses. This image was taken on opening day, June 17, 2005 at Colonial Downs, New Kent, Virginia and captures the finish line of Race 2 that Day!
