Photo Story: This picture is special to me because it's of me and my son. I'm always the one behind the camera taking pictures and I really wanted to try to capture a moment between the two of us... So I put the camera on a chair and set the timer and got this shot which I love. I took this picture in my backyard about a month ago. I love my son with all that I am and I am just so happy to finally have a nice picture of the two of us.

A photo of my oldest daughter taken a couple of years ago. She wanted to wear a raincoat that was too small, and jump in puddles.

I consider myself very fortunate to have taken this picture. Or shall I say it just happened?

I captured my 8 year old daughter, who was only 6 at the time, bending down to smell some daffodils. I thought this shot would look beautiful on canvas, so, I thought I would try my hand at digital painting, making this my very first project.

I took this picture of a sunflower growing in our kitchen window and then later added the green to it on a computer program.

This is the Blue Angels, taken at the Cherry Festival in Traverse City Michigan. They went by so fast that this was really a point and click opportunity! Picture taken with a Kodak Z612.

Due to the climate I live in, I can garden only about half the year. During those months I spend so much time in the garden, and take on so many projects there, that my husband "Photo Shopped" this image of me as a joke.

This was taken at the north side of the Grand Canyon. The burnt trees went on for miles.

Photo Story: My little girl, Laurcy Belle, LOVES the movie "Enchanted" and was soooo excited when she saw the Kodak Picture Screen in the background as Giselle came to New York City! She told me, "Mommy, I want to be that New Yuwrk Pwincess Gurl too!" So we had a photoshoot so she can be "enchanted" also. :)

This is my daughter's friend. My daughter and her friend perform live tributes to Johnny Cash and June Carter. They wanted me to take some night portraits for them so they could use their own pictures on their posters. A cobbled street was the setting for this photograph using only a street light for my lighting.

Photo Story: I took this picture while on a scuba diving trip to Cayman Brac in the West Indies. I spotted this guy coming towards me and possitioned myself to take a series of pictures as he swam by. I was in the right place at the right time.

This picture was taken at Kauffman Stadium waiting for a Royals game to start. Her daddy loves baseball and this is his favorite picture of her. Since the day she was born, he has been drilling her with baseball stats.

I took this picture in the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Photo Story: I took this photo while on vacation in Washington D.C. with my parents and children. They were doing the changing of the guard. It's just a beautiful photo to me.

On a recent trip to the Thar Desert in Rajasthan India, the evening sunset with the camels was inspiring and truely a memorable moment.

Many photographers know the famous upper Antelope Canyon from stunning landscape pictures showing just sandstone .... here is the truth: the Canyon is crowded with Canons and tripods! It's just too funny. Shot in April 2006.

This is a picture of my daughter taken while we were on vacation in Virginia. She looks so small sitting on this bench all by herself.

This image was taken at a lovely banquet facility in Fayetteville, NY. We were given the run of the place while it was closed and had a lot of fun! I love this image because it brings back the wonderful imagery of old Hollywood for me. I have always been captivated by old movies!

I go to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens in New York City every year. The tulips are stunning.

I saw this face in the window of a pet shop and I couldn't resist. His eyes said take me home, and I did! Little Silver, NJ 2007

I took this photo of my 4 year old nephew in the summer of 2007. I figured that I could get him to place his face in the water if I put goggles on him and he could see under the water. Boy how right I was! From that point on he couldn't get enough of the new experience and at the end of the day, exhausted though he was, he reluctantly got out of the pool.

Photo Story: Yellowbranch Falls, which is located near Walhalla, South Carolina, is a very impressive sight. Sometimes, when viewing such a grand scene, we forget to notice the beauty in the details.

I took this picture May 19th 2008. The wind was blowing just right for me to capture the dandolion flying away before my eyes!

I was laying in the grass pasture waiting for the clouds to turn colors in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Foothills - and the horses were walking around seeing what I was doing. It was a special moment at Coyote Springs Guest Ranch in Mariposa County.

Taken Labor Day weekend of 2006 in Destin, FL. Friends and I were feeding the gulls. This is just one picture of many that seemed to say, where's the party?

This photo just captured the intense concentration it takes to do this type of work. Taken at Stanwade Industries, February 08. I solorized the shot slightly to bolster the flare.

Photo Story: I took this photo on Langley AFB, Virginia. The American Flag blowing in the wind is just a beautiful thing. It always helps us remember what our country is going through and to pray for all of our military members who are fighting to keep us safe and free.

Photo Story: I am a stay at home dad, and while this may not be my life exact, it does represent it in a cartoon way. I wanted a shot that was similar to the movie poster of the same title. This was taken in a McDonalds bathroom. Glad we didn't get into trouble. We all find this shot funny.

This image was taken at Skagit Valley, Washington during a recent trip I took. I was leaving town when I came across this beautiful animal standing in a field.

I like this picture because it is a good street scene I think. It was taken in the middle of March, in main street of our little town. We all were young. I think this young cyclist will grow and will be a good man.

Photo Story: I always loved portraits of people holding a frame so this idea came into my mind. As my nephew is a very natural poser, I created a short story board to show him my ideas and this is the result...and he loves it !

After purchasing a new camera, I headed to Washington D.C. to try to take photos of the memorials and monuments from a different angle. While walking from Arlington National Park across the Arlington Memorial Bridge, I noticed this interesting view of the Lincoln Memorial. I stopped along the sidewalk on the bridge, set up my tripod, and captured this image.

This was pool opening day, officially marking the start of summer! It is of my daughter Savannah.

It is just fun!

Photo Story: This picture is special because it is very rare to see one of these types of dragonflies where I live. Not to mention sitting still long enough to photograph! The picture was taken in my front yard which is an area that looks like it is taken straight out of the untouched, serene wilderness of mother nature.

Photo Story: 14 days after we brought our first set of honeybees home to our backyard hive, we did a hive inspection. We were "worried" that our hive might not make it. However, we were very happy BEE-CAUSE as the picture shows, larva were beginning to form in the honeycomb and we would soon have our first baby bees.

This is my 5 year old daughter's first birdie, shot from the grown up tee - yay Riley!

Photo Story: This is a picture of two girls, one born and raised here, the other just became a citizen after being adopted from Africa. I just love to see them joined together to celebrate Independence Day!!

Bristol, RI is home to the oldest Fourth of July parade in the country. While on my year-long 50-state tour of the U.S. I found myself there for their annual celebration. In addition to the usual Fourth of July festivities, they have a carnival with lots of great rides. The skies and colors were beautiful that night.

I was out looking for birds to photograph and taking a break along the shore and noticed these Fiddler Crabs poking their heads out of the sand. I layed on some seaweed to get a photo of this little one.

I love water drop photos & this one is now my desk top! It's a drop of water with sea shells captured in it.

Buddy is a true lounge lizard. Here she is relaxing in her pool on a hot day.
