I love summertime when the butterflies are everywhere!

This is my tribute to the start of football season, which is a very big deal in my family. This is the football that we toss during halftime.

This photo was one of those "right place at the right time" photos, taken near the Kodak Colorado site. While these are obviously cultivated sunflowers, the flowers, and the sunshine, and the Rocky Mountains in the distance all demonstrate the abundance of color and variety in Nature.

This is 2 sets of triplets, all born on the same day, at the same hospital. The three boys in shorts are my sons. Now 4 years old, this photo was taken when we had the kids line up against the garage while moving cars in order to make the basketball goal more accessible. I think their expressions are priceless!

Picture was taken of a school bus going out on a 'dry run', in pouring rain, before the beginning of the school year. A watercolor painting effect was used to highlight the rain, fog, and accumulated water. I would like this photo art to be a reminder to all motorists to think about our precious children traveling in these buses, and to use special care when sharing the road with them.

This was taken on the Drive up to Fort Mountain State Park in North Georgia. I can't say how many times the words "Stop the Car!" were said..but it was a lot! Most brilliant colors I've ever seen!

Sometimes the best photos we take are filled with true to life moments, giving us lasting memories.

Near the end of a beautiful day. Sun setting. Camera in hand. But... power lines and buildings. No photograph here. Wait, though. That lowly dandelion at my feet. Bingo!

This photo is of a brother and sister who live in Awer IDP Camp in Northern Uganda. I took it in January 2008 while shooting in the area for a non-profit.

Leaves are nature's beauty. This picture was taken at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, North Carolina, 2007. It's special to me because I love the fall time of year and in North Carolina the leaves are always pretty.

Senior night at our small town school. All the seniors walked out as "captains". Their adrenalin pulled off a win for the night.

Sunsets always seem to be more colorful at the beach. This shot was taken on Pawleys Island, South Carolina.

While spending our 30th wedding anniversary in New York City (our first time there), we were waiting in line for the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. There were several street performers. One fellow was playing his violin and I notice his wonderful hands. He was kind enough to let me take some photos. They were well worn. I thought I could tell that story best in a close up.

It is my son holding the apple and my husband at the other side with a watering can. I took the picture in our back garden February 2006. Nature gives us these lovely fruit.

This was taken of one of our children in our child care when he climbed up on a pile of hay bales in a pumpkin patch.

This was shot in Aug. 08 in Jaipur. The architectural beauty and unique structure attracted me to shoot it. Hawa Mahal is a Rajput style of Architecture and literally means Palace of Winds. This honeycombed building was originally built to fascilitate the women of Royal household to watch the everyday life and processions of the city. It is fifty-foot high thin shield less than a foot thickness. It was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.

It isn't fall in albuquerque until you go to the Balloon Festia.

My wife and I went down to the beach on a hot summer day. I turned around and clicked a couple of shots of this lady riding along the waves at sunset. Didn't think to much about it. When I got home I couldn't believe what I had.

Watching this Osprey grow up and standing on this dead tree about 200 yards away from it nest is like when a young child grows up and leave's home. Touches the heart but make's you proud. Florida 08.

Image taken at sept 08 Reno NV Balloon Races. It is special because it is such a fantastic event to see, all of these colorful balloons in one place. One is able to walk amongst them as they get ready to lift off. It is truly a special event that is free to everyone

Fall is my favorite season of the year! I especially love all the colors it brings--oranges of pumpkins and the golds and reds of Indian corn; reflected also in the beautiful changes in colors of leaves on trees. I had bought the small, minature pumpkin in the foreground and Indian corn in the background for a home decoration from a local supermarket. I think the photo conveys the nature of the fall season perfectly!

This aboriginal dancer is a typical dancer of Central Australia. I am from Holland and have lived in Alice Springs (Central Australia) for two years now. This man showed a ritual dance to honour the land we live in, walk on, and feed ourselves from. The blurriness adds to the mystique of the character, I think. This photo was taken in Monument Valley in October 2007. I believe that this particular area on the Utah/Arizona border is one of the most scenic places to visit in the Southwest. I feel I have captured its beauty and colorful scenery in this picture, which is a favorite of mine.

This was taken last weekend at Huntley Meadows Park in Fairfax County, VA. The fall colors were at their peak and it was just a beautiful sight! It's nature at it's artistic best.

The Cub Scouts made these heads for a local parade. This is them being silly with them afterwards.

I am relatively new to the state of Washington. I am captivated by the beauty of the state and of this mountain. The Mt. Rainier National park is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. This is my 5 year old nephew and his teammates. This picture is special to me because these kids our the future. They have so much fun just running around out there.

My Johnny. I loved the brown colors, & thought he looked super cool :)

I took this image while relaxing in my garden one evening. The light was perfect and illuminated the cosmos flower with the perfect amount of light at a perfect angle. Truly relaxing!

Seems an appropriate image for the coming July 4th.
