KODAK MOMENT of the Day

I ADORE these candies every Valentine's season. I used a 100mm macro lens, I thought the colors was fun.

I took this photo on a trip to Southern Spain this summer with my mother and my daughter. We were in a shop in Granada, Spain near the cathedral. It was full of the polka dot dresses that are used to dance flamenco. I found the shoes in a back corner of the shop. I love the colors and the jumbled layout of the children's shoes.

This hood ornament caught my eye at an auto show.

Can you believe this little guy's eyelashes? And yes, I said "guy" - he is a boy... one of the most beautiful and precious ones I've ever seen. :)

I was visiting Robinson Preserve in Bradenton Fl and was up top of their Observation tower and was able to capture this Roseate Spoonbill as it flew by. Taken in Florida, 08!

This is a candid of my seven year old nephew, Dylan. I enjoy the focus on his childhood snack, lol. :)

Colorful Leaves.

On our vacation to the Black Hills area in South Dakota we visited the Mt. Rushmore National Monument. I captured this close up of George Washington in black & white. George Washington was our 1st president, and his face was selected to be carved at Mt. Rushmore because he represented the struggle for independence.

This is an image of of one our most regal, beautiful birds, the peacock. A descendant of the dinosaur, I love how these feathers show the texture and colors of this well known bird.

Photo Story: After seeing pictures of a slot canyon, I decided that it was something I needed to experience first hand. This picture was from Lower Antelope Canyon in Paige, AZ, and it was taken with my new Z812IS. I had to take several pictures to get the setting just right because of the various amounts of light -- but, I was pleased with this result.

A slice of life in a village of Rajasthan, India.This fame gives a glimpse of colorful dresses the people wear. It also gives an idea about their life style. It was shot in Nov,08.

These are my son's favorite shoes, he calls them his "Red Racers". They completely fit his outgoing, fiery little personality.

Got to love those toes! Taken in natural light.

I am really freaked out by frogs...but I took this picture, hand-held up close, even allowing another frog to land on my leg. The scene was very calming.

Photo Story: This is one of my favorite pictures taken my father, Bernie Badger (he passed away in 1996). It perfectly captures the curious, aspiring character of my brother and I - me posing and him trying to take a photo. You'll notice, though, that we're both at the wrong end of camera.

The crisp details of the green outer skin of the Jack Fruit attracted me to shoot. I was in a tribal village market of Chhattisgarh, India to shoot tribal life styles. I saw this green jack fruit being sold there.

I came across these people and their dog standing at the the top of a hill. They seemed deeply involved in a conversation and, consequently, I became deeply involved in capturing the moment. Shortly after I made this exposure, they hugged and the man parted to the right while the woman and her dog left in the opposite direction.

Picture was created during the walk with my girlfriend. It is taken on November 6th on Hisar Hill near Leskovac, Serbia.

My beautiful daughter models an Autumn Leaf for me to get this shot. I changed her blue eyes to green in photoshop to co-ordinate with the Autumn colours.

My daughter's cat Perp in the backyard.

This little spider (probably 1/2 inch) was following all my movements when I was gardening and I noticed it had a couple of eyes...So I decided to get my camera and take a picture. Nature is so wonderful even the smallest creatures have so much details, like this one.

We spend alot of time at soccer games this time of year. Lots of practice going on too. My son loves doing the drills to see how fast he can go. I loved this because both his feet are off the ground.

Photo Story: This was taken in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We saw the scene just off the side of the road. It was raining at the time, but because of the long exposure the rain is not evident.The deep greens in this image really give me a peaceful feeling every time I view it.

I saw this Hippo while on safari in the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. He was quite amusing coming up from water looking like he was wearing a hat.

This picture is special to me because it shows my daughters excitement when she plays with her 17 year old big brother. Even though they are 11 years apart, they are very close. My Son Gerald took this picture in our back yard. It's spring time Kierra is peeking around our cherry tree, and my grass is greener then ever. Thanks to my husband Kevin and his green thumb. Gerald also submitted this photo for a project in his Photography class and got an A

Sometimes the beauty is in the details.

It was a beautiful day, we were at the park, the grass was green, the sky was blue and the timing was perfect.

Every year in Chicago, they dye the river green for St. Patrick's day. I'm Irish, which is why this picture is special to me. I simply love St. Patrick's Day.

Peace is what we need from the future generation!

The two flies interact; to me it seems they are trying to broker a peace....

We had a rainy week from Tropical Storm Faye and my son loves to play outdoors, so I let him play in the rain with his raincoat. I just love his sad face here...

We were at the Sugar Festival in Clewiston, Florida. Andrew and Mikayla spent most of their time playing with "the BIG tractor."

This is a tobacco hornworm, more often seen on tomato plants than the tomato hornworm. We thought it was so cool that we brought it inside to protect it from braconid wasps. It's now in wiggly pupa stage, and hopefully will soon be a Carolina Sphinx Moth. Taken 8-8-08 in Kingsville, OH.

This picture was taken of a sibling during a Little League baseball game in Fall City, Wa. The little brothers and sisters of the players do all sorts of creative things to keep themselves busy during games.

Photo Story: I love doing water drop photography, no two are ever alike.

This is a close up of my oldest son after a football throwing session with Dad. His features are great and you can see the sweat and gatorade on his lip.

My friend Ehren Ebbage, he is an amazingly talented musician. :)

I was looking at my wife's ferns in our backyard shortly after sunrise this morning. I was impressed by both the delicateness and complexity of each of the individual leaves. The early morning light brought out the details of each leaf beautifully.

This is my daughter Taylor. She was just simply playing in the rain. We had been in a very long rain drought, so we were very happy to see it pour down!!!

This frog lived in our fish pond all summer. He would sit on the lily pads and watch us!

I was looking for a seasonal image to make when I was on my way to White Sands National Monument in New Mexico when I came across this snowman in a store. The sand in the park looks so much like snow I thought it was the perfect match.

This photo was taken on November 29, 2008 at the Conowingo Dam in Maryland. It is one of a ten photo sequence that I was able to capture as the eagle came in to capture his prey. These majestic birds have made a tremendous comeback from being just a memory.

Photo Story: This picture was taken in Maumee, Ohio's Sidecut Park on a cold, snowy, wet day in February. I was looking out for ducks to photograph when I came across this herd of deer. What better way to view Mother Earth?

On vacation this butterfly was flitting around and then finally landed for a rest.

We were in the conference playoffs in Mississippi. It rained cats and dogs, but we kept playing. It was the last game of my son's entire life and he was stressed and sad. I captured his frustration and caught his bubble gum in mid-bubble! We lost 1-4.

This is a Sally Lightfoot crab from the island of San Cristobal in the Galapagos. These crabs are so beautiful with their vibrant red against the volcanic rock of the islands.

Photo Story: Impressions of a nearby pond.

Spring has began! This picture was taken in the Netherlands on the first spring day, March 20, 2009.

This was taken in Jerusalem's Church of the Holy Sepulchre,in the Katholicon space during a Greek Orthodox ceremony. The lamp the women are leaning toward is considered to be the absolute center of the world.

This was taken at Dudley Farm State Park, Gainesville, FL. A working 1830's farm, they had a garden spot filled with daisies. I liked the angle of this shot with the sky in the background.

Flooding here in the Midwest has produced an abundance of frogs this year. I found this little guy in a flower in our yard.

The promise of a clear sky and the light of a full moon got me out early. There is a 10 minute window just before sunrise when there is this beautiful alpenglow that gives the Tetons a great background. Grand Teton National Park, August 2008.
