Photo Story: This was taken at the underwater viewing room in the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ.

This is a shot of the lights that shine from Ground Zero. As a resident of New York City, I continually venture out on the anniversary and photograph the twin beams that shine toward heaven to remind us of that day... a day that most of us will never forget. This shot was taken in front of the New York Stock Exchange, another symbol of the strength and ingenuity of the American people.

I took this photo in New York in December 2008. I thought a different point of view would be attractive compared to thousands of pictures of the statue seen everywhere.

I love to capture my subjects in different ways. During this photo shoot in the park, they were all walking together in front of me. I noticed the way the sun was hitting them, and wanted to capture the shot from the dog's perspective. I think this is a beautiful image of owners and their pets.

I took the picture in October 2008. The weather was marvelous for walking.

This photo was taken at Dan Patch Days in Minnesota. I like the concentration and intensity of the dog prior to catching the frisbee.

I was walking around the town of Cohasset, Massachusetts, when I saw these dogs. There were four dogs in the car but it was impossible to get them all in the photo. They were too cute to pass by without a quick photo.

I took this while playing around with a light set up. This dog is a rescued animal... and a real sweetie!

My brother is a graphic artist and does some photography as a hobby. This is a picture he took in his apartment of his two dogs and their puppies. The male dog's name is Reggie and the female is Miss Piggy.

This is our Beagle Copper. He's going 'Trick Or Treating' as Underdog so he was practicing his flying....

I took this photo of a cranberry harvest in Carver, MA.

Acadia National Park is special any time of the year but it really shines during autumn. I went hiking with a friend up Sargent Mountain and she was collecting leaves along the way. At one point, she turned around to show me the fantastic colors of the leaves she collected and I just had to snap the photo.

While at the John Hancock Observatory in Chicago, I saw this scene and made and exposure. I loved the way the figures were backlit against the waters of Lake Michigan and the shores of the city.

I wandered onto a vacant tennis court and was taken by the many cracks and crevices that punctuated the green and white of the court.

I had a wonderful vacation in Hawaii, while visiting family. When I was there I found out you could go cage diving with sharks!! I watch Shark week every year on Discovery so I was all over it.

I love when I get to photograph children just how they want to be seen -- this is my daughter, whom I told could pose ANY way she wanted... and this is what we got. :) Ahhh...relaxation...

Had to shoot this pottery work while clinging on to the roof. Shot in Delhi Haat the colours in this shot were blinding, hence, called colour blind.

Lately the DOW has been way down, people are feeling the pinch....and we all could use a helping hand. My turtle portrayed that need well.

I saw this pattern of arches while leaving the Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. Had to shoot it quickly and managed to get one good shot.

Philadelphia cityscape on the Delaware River taken from the Camden, New Jersey Waterwalk.

It's currently a hard time on everyone. There are times when people feel like there's no way out, or that they're continuing to fall down a black pit. We need to remember that it's going to be alright, and it will soon pass. This picture was taken over the summer on a waverunner. I hope it's a piece of artwork that people can put thought into.

The fact that two plastic dolls can convey emotion at all is exciting to me. I took this in the back room of my workplace for a local art collectives annual exhibition in November.

This was taken during a photo session a few months ago. He just wouldn't smile for anything. Cupcakes ... no. His trains ... nope. Peek-a-boo ... nothing. Then I asked his Mom to put on this old vintage dress I'd found in a local thrift shop. She threw the skirt over his head and ... bingo! It's my favorite shot of the year. And it proves that sometimes all a kid wants is, well ... Mom.

This often photographed cypress tree clings tenaciously to a rocky outcropping on 17-Mile Drive near Pebble Beach, California. I was in California on vacation when I took the picture and the day was rainy, cold and misty. I really wanted a souvenir photo so despite its poor quality, I decided to play with it in a digital editing program and was pleased to see a silhouette emerge when I adjusted the levels. I can't imagine being more pleased with a full color version.

Mizen Head Ireland 2008 south of Ireland is gorgeous and photogenic.

This is a portrait of my wife lit with an off-camera flash through a shoot-through umbrella with a dark curtain as background.

I used to work for a steel company that had their own shop. I had many wonderful pictures during my time there.

Liked the patterns of this shot done in November 2007 in Greensboro, NC. Liked how the light and angle of the sun changed it into something completely abstract.

I took this while vatationing in Cape May NJ in 2006 to print to use in our twin daughters room. We purcahsed two ducks and thought it would be fun to show the whole family.

Myanmar, or Burma, is a land of stark contrasts. An oppressive military junta rules over the land with an iron fist so tight that even its? population was denied Western aid after the recent cyclone Nargis. After the catastrophe, 130,000-plus bodies were counted and thousands more were made homeless. Much of the population of this nation scrapes by on meager means as fathers and mothers struggle to support families. Despite these hardships, many find their solace in religion. Buddhism is prevalent here and monks are revered throughout. They are not only a source of calm in a turbulent ocean but are a political force to be reckoned with as witnessed by recent uprisings. These 2007 clashes tested the patience of the ruling military junta. Here, a young novice poses for me in the streets of Mandalay.
