Well it took quite a while and much friendly persuasion to get this group of meerkats to pose for a family snapshot. Afterward they all agreed it was worth the time and effort!(smiling).

I just love sweet corn. I took this at home before I cooked it because it looked so good.

I discovered these wild turkeys showing off for the ladies while visiting a local nature preserve.

I love the texture of the clock in black and white. I took this picture when walking around 42nd street. The building is nice but I think the clock is an important feature.

I was hanging around with my camera when I saw these shoes... I started to think about me and my girlfriend; and about dreams of having a child.

A homage to a beverage that has gotten me through many a day.

This is my grandson as he was getting ready to graduate from high school, and enlisted in the Coast Guard. This is just a reminder of of how fast he has grown-up.

It was our one year wedding anniversary and we spent it in Europe. This picture is taken in Brugge, Belgium in November 2008. Brugge met us with this magical foggy scenery.

On a cold gray day (25 below 0) our creator left this beauty on my kitchen window. Every masterpiece needs an artist. This creation shows me proof of a heavenly artist.

There's an incredibly sad story associated with this little car. Despite that, it remains a jolly symbol of daydreams of the wind in your hair and a smile on your face.

The morning after this snowfall, the air was very still and very cold, the snow stayed on the branches as the sky cleared to bright blue. These branches are 20 feet up covered in snow, this lasted for a short while the wind blew all of the snow off the trees in about an hour. I like the abstract feel of this.

Photo Story: Last Christmas was the first Christmas my son was able to really help decorate the tree. i snapped this Kodak Moment as he was beginning to hang an ornament! One more reason to love the Christmas season.

This is a close-up of the Pakistan Monument situated on top of a hill in Islamabad. The monument is constructed with stone/marble designs.

This was taken at the Pittsburgh Zoo in the tunnel that goes under the polar bear pool. It was the first time I'd ever seen one swimming! Taken May 2009.

These tourists were braving the wind and near zero degree temps to experience the unrivaled beauty of Niagara Falls State Park in winter.

This was taken at the first game of his first tackle football season. He was serious and scared. And he scored the winning touch-down that game. So I cherish this photo...as in all photos, its the memory of THAT day.

My niece, Mel :) I love her calm expression here and the way the light from the window casts shadows on her.

On 2-6-09, my daughter and I walked out onto frozen Lake Erie at Conneaut, OH, to talk to the ice fishermen. The next day, the weather warmed and the ice broke off at the western side of the lake, stranding about a hundred ice fishermen.

I saw the people in traditional colorful dress with a happy mood in golden hour in the morning. I liked the background with camels. It was captured in a village near Pushkar, Rajasthan, India.

I love to take photos in fog or mist. I applied the Orton Technique and added a sepia tone to this shot.

I took this photo because I was captivated by the elements of design. I love the shapes and play of light and shadow here.

A candid shot of a friend of my daughter. I really like her hidden smile, which gives a mystical expression.

Winter in Northern Michigan can be harsh with lots of snow, cold and wind. In the woodland of our farm the trees cast undulating shadows across the creek bed. The sun make the fresh snow sparkle like diamonds.

This snapshot was taken at a local festival in Okinawa, Japan. After a local cultural group had performed, they moved down the street. All of a sudden this little tyke, who had been performing with them, notices that they've moved on without him. He comes running down the street shouting "wait" at the top of his lungs to the applause and laughter of the crowd.

This dilapidated barn photo was shot on a farm in near Dassel, MN in June 2009 during my lunch break at work. I feel the title is very fitting because the barn reminded me of a giant animal on its last legs just getting ready to lay down for the final time. The barn had a good life but the skeleton is all that remains.

This photo was taken in Orissa, a state of India. The man is from the Bonda Tribe. Bondas are the oldest tribal people of Malkangiri District.

This is a foot bridge at the golf course in Ft. Dix New Jersey, taken in January 2009. I selected this photo because it represents crossing into the unknown. You can almost see what's on the other side, but not everything.
I selected the artistic/creative theme because of the perspective.

Indian women decorate their hands with Menhdi(Hena) during any festival or ceremony. This was taken in July 2009 during the rainy season (Sawan), and the ladies have decorated their hands to welcome rains.
I like design, patterns and colors of such Henna painting on the hands. After the Sawan Mahotsav was over, I requested my wife and her friends to pose for this shot. I am thankful to them for cooperating with me for this creative and artistic shot.
