KODAK MOMENT of the Day

I took this shot at a local tulip garden in Holland, Michigan. I love the vibrant colors.

The picture was made on April 18, 2009 at 22:02 in the backyard of my grandparents. This photo is special because all the tricks were made from the camera and with an extra light.

At a local auto show I very much enjoyed viewing the many antique cars; but, it was the details that most intrigued me.

Lovely morning at the Presidio in San Francisco. Loved the slight burst of sun starting to burn off the fog in the trees.

It was shot at Sum sand dunes, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan on the last day of Desert Festival. There was sudden change of weather and the sky was full of clouds and it was about to rain. One can feel the importance of rain in desert area. I saw a group of people's curious expressions in anticipation of rain and captured this frame.

I was trying to come up with a self portrait that would sort of say who I am. I think this may go a good ways to achieving that. :)

This picture was taken inside the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris during my semester abroad.

My daughter named this bunny Easter. This little guy posed just like a pro.

This was one of several visitors we had last spring to the lilac bush across the street from our home. I just zoomed in and took the picture hoping it would stay still long enough to get the shot. I took it with my Kodak camera, which I love!

I think that this picture is very neat. It shows the rounded bumpy texture of the basketball that most people don't really pay attention to.

This was a lot of fun to take. He was a great subject that really got into goofing around with me!

Sunrise over the desert dunes on a winter's day (Central region, Saudi Arabia)

Lake Tahoe is a fantastic place for photographers to get a wide variety of light and color. This day there was a beautiful blue sky and the crystal clear lake reflected it well.

What better way to start the day, than with a beautiful sunrise!

Taken at the Chattanooga Nature Center. I kept looking around for Pandas! (None to be found:-)

On a desert safari in Libya we were in the Acacus mountain region and when travelling down a large wadi we went round a bend and this was the sight that caused many an exclamation of surprise in our party

I love to photograph tulips, when they are in season. I love the way the water drops form on the flower and on the leaves and stems. I buy them all spring and plant many in my yard to photograph.

I think this Moment speaks for it's self. The photo was taken at the Chesapeake Bay shoreline, Shady Side Maryland in June 2008.
The Osprey arrive here each March, and all have successfully raised 2 to 3 chicks. Thankfully, the Osprey has rebounded after being poisoned by DDT and other pollutants.

This is Spot, a Leopard Gecko. He is so curious and loves to climb everywhere. I let him out in my garden everyday - and this one day while we were out there, he climbed up into my lap while I was reading, and this is the photo I took.

Ever watch a baby play with a toy? The joy they get out of such simple things always amazes me. This is a photo of my son. He was about 6 months old when this was taken. His expression while he played was and still is priceless to me. :~)

I LOVE this photo of this adorable 18-month-old baby trying to do his new "trick" - a wink. :)

I took this photo of my grandson, Landon, while he was receiving photo-therapy for jaundice after his August 2004 birth.

I did this water drop refraction for the newest member of our family.

We had the hardest time getting this little one to give us any expressions - she just did not want to let Mom go. We tried everything, so I had to take what I could get, when I could get it - with no time to compose.

Watching the Thunderbirds at Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, was a memorable moment for my family and me. Our best regards to the brave men and women serving abroad in the armed forces.

This was taken in the fields behind my house. It's special to me because it's my daughter running through the overgrown grass with her unicorn. I loved the tree in bloom as well as the rich colors.

This picture was taken during my daughter's pre-k graduation ceremony while the children were being led onto the stage. I was able to capture one of her classmates intently searching the crowd for her mother. Her natural beauty and innocence was captivating.

I am one to take a lot of pictures because I believe there is no memory more special than a picture. When I gave a copy to her teacher she commented that she was sure her family would love it because she was not sure they had a camera.

I wanted to capture the famous St. Basil's Cathedral at night, so I set up my tripod and waited patiently. This photo proved to me that good things come to those who wait.

Wait, I have to smell the daffodils.

This photo shows the Milky Way over Double Arch in Arches National Park, Utah. Night photography is addictive. The stars were vivid on this night, and we decided to light the arch with a handheld flashlight to give the sky even more perspective.
