Swan on the North Fork
This swan took up residence in a pond that was flooded by torrential rains. The swan started to hiss as I neared it, so I quickly backed away to avoid upsetting it more. The early morning fog allows the viewer to focus on the swan and it's immediate environment.

Poor Maddie
Ah, poor Maddie. Made to sit and hold up a sign saying hold old she is (5 months), and wear a paper birthday hat. With all 3 of our children, I've taken monthly shots of them the first year to watch them grow.
I love this photo because it reminds me of the look of dismay you'd see in one of those photos of a child who takes the first lick of their ice cream cone -- only to have the scoop topple off the cone onto the ground.

This is a special photo to me because I love capturing the innocence of children in photography, and that's what this makes me think of.
It was taken during the summer in front of my house while my son was playing with the hose and I was watering flowers. I selected the artistic/creative theme because it's a black and white shot of only his legs and feet -- with his reflection in the water on the ground. Hope you like it!

The smallest one in the picture was being bullied by a group of mischief mongers - and immediately the mother, father and another elder monkey came to its rescue. The tiny tot then hugged it's mother and felt relieved. This picture show intense family bondage seen within monkey's, the closest beings to humans.
