KODAK MOMENT of the Day

Taken at the shore in Ocean City, NJ while I was back East visiting with family. It was a wonderful time full of many Kodak moments.

These are my kiddos. This is just one picture from a series I did of them for there up coming Father's Day gift to their dad.

I love to play tennis and waiting for US Open.

After taking a shift "shot" of our City Fire Department, I said, "all finished" and this was the next shot I took! It was too funny to watch as they all assumed different positions descending from the fire truck. I could not resist this one.

The picture is taken in Frederikssund, DK - July 5th.

This was our first solo vacation in Cancun, Mexico. It was taken last September.

This is my wee son Owen. Last summer we had the opportunity to get away for the week and enjoy the relaxing beach at the cottage. Well, Owen is not so fond of being away from his environment so I thought I would hang him out to dry.lol. Just kidding! He was grumpy but was a real trooper for this staged shot.

This is Patches. I adopted her in August 2010 and came right home and did her 1st photo shoot. I love this shot!

This picture was taken during a Memorial Day parade in my small town. The concentration in this musicians face was a delight to see.

I enjoyed the way the shapes combined on this custom car at a local car show.

The Red Mill in Clinton, NJ is one of the most photographed places in NJ. It is said to be haunted and was featured on Ghost Hunters and other paranormal shows.

A World Trade Center tower replica of 9/11 is on display in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The names of victims are engraved on the granite base of this memorial and a 34 inch chunk of an actual WTC girder is mounted on the front.

As a resident of New York City, I continually venture out on the anniversary of 9/11 and photograph the twin beams that shine toward heaven to remind us of that day... a day that most of us will never forget. This shot was taken in front of the New York Stock Exchange, another symbol of the strength and ingenuity of the American people.

This is a picture of my grandson and granddaughter taking a stroll down the road to our house.

I love the vivid colors of the monarch butterfly and the pink cornflower. Taken in July 2011 at the Rockefeller State Park Preserve, Sleepy Hollow, NY

My new niece, the day after her baptism. She's just shy of four weeks old in this photo, quietly observing the entire world around her.

I had to crawl on my stomach for about 20 meters to get this photo. We rarely see hares as close as this here in the Highlands of Scotland, so this was special for me.

I took this image during a photography workshop in a cafe in Dusseldorf.

I was sitting in my parked car talking to a friend when I realized the rain on my windshield was creating multiple inverted images of the large tree in front of me. I immediately began snapping pictures. Once they'd been loaded onto the computer, I decided to turn one of the pictures upside down, and this is how it turned out! I don't think I'd ever noticed the images contained in rain drops before this, so it was a unique discovery for me.

My sister often poses for pictures, this being one of those times. I tried to capture the thought and emotion written on her face.

A beautiful Autumn scene taken in Cheesequake State Park, New Jersey. It's located only 30 miles from metropolitan New York.

This was captured during a post marriage photo shoot. The train was passing by at 120 Kmph. It was really hard to maintain a romantic feeling while standing just 3-4 feet away from the fast moving train.

Driving home trying to stay ahead of a big lighting storm, I noticed the sun gleaming on some wheat fields near the foothills. I stopped to take a picture of the wheat blowing in the wind, and as I was leaving I took a picture of the road. I was pleasantly surprised of how dramatic a road through the wheat can be.

This photo was taken on a visit to Talaltal Ghar in Sibsagar, Assam, India. The caretaker was going through his daily job, not even bothered by what we were doing.

This picture is special to me because I had my niece with me and I was teaching her how to take waterfall pictures.
It was cold but she stuck it out with me like a real trooper. The picture was taken in Pigeon Forge, TN. November 2010.

I took this picture because of the beautiful warm light shinning on this handsome turtle. I loved the way it turned out, because the turtle seemed to be posing for me.

I could not resist this shot of present day bicycle racers speeding past a mural of an antique motor vehicle.

Beautiful horse on a beautiful autumn day.

This was taken with my mother's Kodak ZD710 digital camera. I was just playing around with the different settings and loved what this camera can do.

I had to write an essay in junior high school about a picture of a little girl's shoes in a field with daisies. The image has stuck with me all these years and I've always wanted to photograph my version...and here it is.

Just an amazing view from a walk the with the family.

This is a special moment, taken at a friends wedding. The sister of bride suggested a pose behind this frosted glass panel. The newlyweds were gladly enjoying a kiss for this pose.

I took this picture because I just liked the view.

Around sundown, there are a lot of toads around my house. This toad was hidden in my garden.

These two cavers were descending to the natural pedestal below, as the sunlight shone through a opening above.

I snapped this photo one morning (from my car, on my cell phone) as I was backing out of the driveway to leave for work. It was such a beautiful, peaceful scene that it started my day off just right. One of the many reasons I love living out in the country!

Nothing like baseball, apple pie, and my own backyard to make me proud to be an American!

Finding and old abandoned structure which I think is a school house in the plains of eastern Oregon was a treat. I could almost hear the voices of children at play, and the ringing of the school bell calling them back inside.

This picture was nice in colour but the wood textures really came out in black and white. This was a private farm pond in eastern South Africa - an area known for its early morning mists. I loved the stillness of the scene against the harsh textures of the old wooden stump.

This local craftsman was chiseling patterns on a soft stone. His extreme concentration, deft touches and attention to detail were remarkable. I tried to capture the same here.

Never ever give up Hope.

This is Mack my English Bulldog - he's just turned five. I've never had my dog pose in a fashion that appears to be posing for a portrait, but Mack just did it naturally.

The minute I saw this shot in my viewfinder I knew it would be a natural for black and white. Converted in Elements.

I was going up the stairs to a beach house we rent when I looked down and saw this image. I couldn't pass it up.

I love the way scarves and veils can bring out the beauty in a face.
