KODAK MOMENT of the Day

This photo was taken on a visit to Talaltal Ghar in Sibsagar, Assam, India. The caretaker was going through his daily job, not even bothered by what we were doing.

After several days of heavy rain, the sun finally came out to shine one the beautiful fall trees! Taken in Saratoga Springs, NY. October 2010.

This picture is special to me because I had my niece with me and I was teaching her how to take waterfall pictures.
It was cold but she stuck it out with me like a real trooper. The picture was taken in Pigeon Forge, TN. November 2010.

I took this picture because of the beautiful warm light shinning on this handsome turtle. I loved the way it turned out, because the turtle seemed to be posing for me.

I could not resist this shot of present day bicycle racers speeding past a mural of an antique motor vehicle.

Beautiful horse on a beautiful autumn day.

This was taken with my mother's Kodak ZD710 digital camera. I was just playing around with the different settings and loved what this camera can do.

I had to write an essay in junior high school about a picture of a little girl's shoes in a field with daisies. The image has stuck with me all these years and I've always wanted to photograph my version...and here it is.

Just an amazing view from a walk the with the family.

This is a special moment, taken at a friends wedding. The sister of bride suggested a pose behind this frosted glass panel. The newlyweds were gladly enjoying a kiss for this pose.

I took this picture because I just liked the view.

Around sundown, there are a lot of toads around my house. This toad was hidden in my garden.

These two cavers were descending to the natural pedestal below, as the sunlight shone through a opening above.

I snapped this photo one morning (from my car, on my cell phone) as I was backing out of the driveway to leave for work. It was such a beautiful, peaceful scene that it started my day off just right. One of the many reasons I love living out in the country!

Nothing like baseball, apple pie, and my own backyard to make me proud to be an American!

Finding and old abandoned structure which I think is a school house in the plains of eastern Oregon was a treat. I could almost hear the voices of children at play, and the ringing of the school bell calling them back inside.

This picture was nice in colour but the wood textures really came out in black and white. This was a private farm pond in eastern South Africa - an area known for its early morning mists. I loved the stillness of the scene against the harsh textures of the old wooden stump.

This local craftsman was chiseling patterns on a soft stone. His extreme concentration, deft touches and attention to detail were remarkable. I tried to capture the same here.

Never ever give up Hope.

This is Mack my English Bulldog - he's just turned five. I've never had my dog pose in a fashion that appears to be posing for a portrait, but Mack just did it naturally.

The minute I saw this shot in my viewfinder I knew it would be a natural for black and white. Converted in Elements.

I was going up the stairs to a beach house we rent when I looked down and saw this image. I couldn't pass it up.

I love the way scarves and veils can bring out the beauty in a face.

I took this photo at the Gangasagar Fair in India, where many women were going to take a bath in the holy Ganges.

I shot this outside of Quechee, Vermont earlier this summer. I cropped the eyes tightly because I loved the intensity and color.

Getting ready for Halloween!

There's just something about this cute little face and those silly feet (and the banana too)!

I had so much fun this Autumn carving pumpkins! I've always loved all the decorations and festivities of each holiday and season. Wishing everyone a very Happy Halloween and Happy Fall!

This is a self portrait I took at home. It's special to me because I can see the Dreamer in me, the one that treasures dreams as if they were Gold.

The sands in Namibia were this incredible burnt orange color, but the trees in the Death Vlei gave the area a surreal quality.

I love the contrasting colors in this scene. The photo was taken during my very first visit to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in November of 2010. It was a place I always wanted to visit, and hope to return to someday soon!

This picture was taken in India, in Jaipur, during August 2010. The picture is special because it reminds me of the great people of India, and how warm and welcoming they are.

This picture was taken in Centerville, Indiana. It's special to me because of the atmosphere and mood it evokes. Kind of mystical.

Depending on the time of day, season, etc., nature displays all sorts of moods. At noon on a sunny day the this picture would just be a nice snapshot.

I took this picture in a small village called Ring in Co. Cork, Ireland.
Cows are so curious and I was lucky to catch this one as she looked around at me.
To me it's funny - because of the connection between a pint of milk and a pint of Guinness.

This was taken in Washington, DC in July of 2010.
As an American, it meant a lot to me to take this photo, and to remember the fallen heroes of the U.S. Marines.

It captures a quiet, sad moment as these men remember fallen brothers. Taken at the Veteran's Day ceremonies at Arlington cemetery on November 11, 2010.

I saw this leaf while on a walk in my woods.

This is one of a series I took while traveling on the subway in Queens, NY.

I was sitting on the beach about 15 feet away from 200 black skimmers when they blasted off on a cloudy morning. I pointed my camera into the flock and saw lots of flapping wings composing images that looked interesting. This was my favorite.

This pic damn close to my heart bcoz im a guitarist and love my guitar, took my camera an d clicked it. It shows my love for my guitar !!

These caught my eye at the Ojai Farmer's Market and I knew they would photograph as well as they would taste. The Ojai Farmer's Market is located in Ojai, CA.

My son wanted to shave whenever my husband shaved. So we made him a special razor (without blades) so that he could shave every time Daddy shaved.
This was taken about 13 years ago with a film camera, and while remodeling the bathroom I made a digital print to hang on the bathroom wall.

I saw this pretty goat at an Amish farm in Lancaster, PA.

Captured these three at the local zoo. Love the reflection against the dark background.

I took this a couple weeks ago... I have seen this field before and never really took the time to stop and finally did. Im quite pleased how it turned out. 25'' Exposure 1/16 f/ 100 ISO

As labor intensive as a garden may be...the 'fruits' of that labor are always enjoyed! I don't think there's anything more beautiful than a bowl of homegrown tomatoes - especially when they've just been picked that morning!

Tiny Attila loves to steal food from our pet tortoise. Before I could retrieve the corn he ate every last kernel.

When our grandson was born, it was the first grandbaby on both sides of the family. All the family members were "on scene" moments after he was born, documenting his arrival. When I saw them lining up to take their shot, I couldn't help myself, and took this image of the rest of them! Of course, I haven't stopped snapping shots of my precious new grandson since.
