KODAK MOMENT of the Day

My son wanted to shave whenever my husband shaved. So we made him a special razor (without blades) so that he could shave every time Daddy shaved.
This was taken about 13 years ago with a film camera, and while remodeling the bathroom I made a digital print to hang on the bathroom wall.

I saw this pretty goat at an Amish farm in Lancaster, PA.

Captured these three at the local zoo. Love the reflection against the dark background.

I took this a couple weeks ago... I have seen this field before and never really took the time to stop and finally did. Im quite pleased how it turned out. 25'' Exposure 1/16 f/ 100 ISO

As labor intensive as a garden may be...the 'fruits' of that labor are always enjoyed! I don't think there's anything more beautiful than a bowl of homegrown tomatoes - especially when they've just been picked that morning!

Tiny Attila loves to steal food from our pet tortoise. Before I could retrieve the corn he ate every last kernel.

When our grandson was born, it was the first grandbaby on both sides of the family. All the family members were "on scene" moments after he was born, documenting his arrival. When I saw them lining up to take their shot, I couldn't help myself, and took this image of the rest of them! Of course, I haven't stopped snapping shots of my precious new grandson since.

This is a picture of my little cousin taken at a family Christmas party. He would run up to me, stick his face towards my camera and say, "Take another one, take another one!" Then he would strike a silly pose.

This is a close-up of the seed pod of a dandelion. I used a lens in reverse technique to get this macro shot. Things seems so different at macro level!

When the frost comes, I always go to my neighbors garden to see what has transpired. I am never disappointed.

This is a picture of my sweet little girl. I just love her little smile, it's so precious, just like she is!

I took this photo a long time ago -- don't know where. It's special because it's about peace & love.

I love to photograph these...they have so many new colors it is hard to choose which ones I like best.

This picture has the fingers of my sister-in-law. It was taken in Diwali. She and my mum were making Rangoli, which is a tradition of coloring the floor with colored powder.
I noticed that her fingers had swirls of colors - so I decided to capture it. At the end I got something so totally random yet beautiful with its colors.

Taken one morning after a beautiful snowfall out my front door. The only touch up was to add the shaded border to make the flag stand out.

I love the colors red and white and how they remind me of Christmas. I took this of my son's peppermint before he ate them all up!

This picture was taken on the first day of using my brand new camera. I took it in Yosemite Valley right as the sun was coming up, very early in the morning. I believe it represents nature as it's the awakening of something grand.

The snowman fits right in with the greenery on the tree. It was taken this year on my Christmas tree with just the tree lights on.

Santa on wheels -- all set to go.

A Canadian goose peers at me on a bright winter day. This picture was taken from my car with a 100-400mm lens, on a sunny but extremely cold day. The river provided a wonderful contrast for the background. I would have missed the opportunity if I alighted from my car before taking the shot.

Poinsettias are such a beautiful sign of the season. Best holiday wishes!

This is a frontal view of my house for the holiday season. Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas!

Saw this beautiful frost along the fence and went a foot deep in the snow to get a closer look.

Just playing around with my holiday decorations while I was putting them up. I love the bokeh in the background from the lights and of course....SANTA!

This was taken during an exceptionally harsh winter storm that hit the Texas Panhandle. We had a snow day so I took pictures all day all over the Texas Tech campus. This is one of my favorites.

This picture is a macro view taken through a large glass blown sphere with dozens of air pockets. I would go as far as saying that the angle of the picture created shows us how unique the close up world can be. Photo taken March 2011.

Photo taken in Hong Kong in November 2011. I was photographing the waterfront at night, a spectacular scene, when an illuminated junk came sailing by.

This little guy got very comfortable with me around; of course I was in my car.

This is the ball that was used for the centennial celebration of New Year's Eve in New York's Times Square in 2007. It is on display at the Times Square Visitor's Center.

This colorful, fireworks picture was taken at last year's 4th of July Fireworks Celebration at Stanley Quarter Park, in New Britain, CT. The fireworks brilliantly match up with the patriotic music heard throughout the park. New Britain residents and visitors from all over attend this spectacular fireworks show each year.

This picture taken in the Spokane Valley

The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad photo train runs by the famous Helmstetter's Curve. As the train makes it to the top of the hill, it lets off steam doing 56 mph around the bend.

The picture was taken in South Haven, Michigan on January 31, 2011. I like the contrast of the sun shining on the lighthouse with the dark clouds in the background. The seagull was a bonus.

After a light snowfall in Alabama, the snow only stuck to the trees.

This photograph was taken on February 10th in Falmouth, Maine. I was driving down a country road when this simple tree caught my eye, but I kept on going. About 300 yards later, something in my gut said "turn around." I did a quick U-ie in the middle of the road and, although I took several shots, it was the first one I took that ended up being the best. It is special to me in that it reminded me of the value of listening to, and trusting, your heart. That surreal moment in the road created a surreal photograph.

-It's a beautiful moment frozen in time. The skateboarder was trying the same trick multiple times and finally landed it. -Venice, CA - January '11 -Honestly documenting people in their natural element is always my goal. Shooting on film helps me achieve that immediacy.

This was taken by my fiance under my direction, edits and idea by myself. But in the end it was a team effort.

Beautiful dancer dressed as a Genie, my friend Katie. I love her power and artistry. Taken last week at Bruneau Sand Dunes in Idaho. Katie is a contemporary dancer in Boise, her power and creative artistry are evidenced in the photo.

This is a little guy I met when I was taking some pictures at a dog kennel. I just fell in love with his sweet little face.

The photo of the fruits was taken through a foil and the rotating sense is given by digital processing.
