This is a picture of me with my camera. Im 15 years old and I love taking pictures. My camera means so much to me. I look at the world from behind a camera lense. I see the beauty in things because of photography. Im able to look at a situation and say, 'wow! look at that lighting!' or 'what great composition'. So in a way, Photography and art is not just a hobby, but a way of looking at the world.

My playground, the Atlantic Ocean...I love to hear the sound of waves...:-)

I took this picture of my shoes yesterday at the steps at a journalism building. I love these shoes, wear them all the time!

Taken at Junkanoo Beach in Nassau Bahamas on a recent family vacation. We work hard to take vacations as a family, and when I am in the middle of working and thoughts go to a vacation...this is exactly what I would envision.

This photo was taken on a beautiful Monday morning at 5am. The normally busy dock is a amazing place at this time because you can just take in the sound of the waves and birds, while tasting the salt water on your tounge. My camera and I love places like this to recharge....;-)

This was taken one early early morning during a walk on the beach. I had found the starfish earlier and than spotted the sand dollar and so I placed the star fish on the sand dollar and took the shot.

This shot was taken at moment that these people were doing a kind of meeting at sunset in Nice, South of France. The really good moments are those that you enjoy together the family and friends.

This is my little buddy Waldo on the beach in Traverse City, MI. He brings joy to my life daily.

This is one of my favorite photos because I love silhouettes against beautiful sunset skies, but also because of the fun time I had with my photography friends and our cameras that evening. It was very chilly out there on the wet sand, but that didn't dampen our enthusiasm one bit! This was taken November 26, 2010 in Huntington Beach, California, a favored destination for Southern California surfers. I feel the unknown surfer added so much to the creative and artistic element to this image, so chose that category for this entry.

This picture was taken at Dal Lake, Srinagar (India) during morning hours. It is an attempt to capture the life of Kashmiri people. A mother is rowing her kids (GIRLS) to school to make them future ready.

I was so thrilled to see a Mute Swan preening at the side of a wharf with the Toronto Skyline at the background during the magical hour. What a dream shot I got...:-)

I love this photo as it re inspires me to be more creative. I took it Lincolnshire at some old abandoned radar dishes. The photo is a futurist in a way that may have been the theme back in the 60's when the dishes were still in use.

Months in advance, we had reserved tickets to visit the 9/11 Memorial during a trip to New York City in April 2012. Beautiful, tasteful, dignified, solemn--a moving tribute to those who lost their lives that day.

While visiting the Richmond Zoo located in Virginia this peacock put on a grand display of its rich feather design...a natural pattern created by nature.

I took this photo when I visited London a couple of weeks ago. I went there on my own. I took it from the bus back to the airport. I like the two people who greet eachother with a kiss, maybe after not seeing each other for a while. The London cabs in the background and people looking at the couple. I find the photo captures a special moment. I visited London to meet fellow Film Photography Podcast listeners. I had a great time shooting London on Kodak Tri-x and expired Ektar 25 film.

Walking into this Cathedral is an amazing experience.This image was shot last week is the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Newark New Jersey.I stitched 5 images in photoshop after turning them into HDR images in Photomatix.

Meet "Blackie" - well, that is what I call him. He was given to a Rescue in Cave Creek, AZ where I volunteer. I call him Blackie... we dont even know his name. He 7yrs old & a Thoroughbred. They say he never raced, but his upper lip has a Tattoo on it, so they meant to race him. They say he was "good to go!" and that he has nothing to keep him from being a good riding horse. Well, I put a saddle on Blackie and tried to ride him. He began to grit his front teeth and I could feel his tension under me as I walked him around. I took him into a trot and he grit his teeth harder and louder. I knew then.... "this horse is in pain!" I got off and took my saddle off only to find that his back was in so much pain, he would move away if I even went to pet his back!! What had people done to him??? Nobody will ever know. It's been 2 weeks and Blackie is coming along. He will be fine with some time. But.... this horse was headed for the KILL SALE!! So, I BOUGHT HIM!!!

The barn was taken at 6 am when the warm sun was just rising.I loved the way the early morning warmed up the barn wood and yet the mountain snow - the Grand Teton Mountains - was still almost white. Photo was taken in Jackson, Wyoming. I picked the theme because this is a beautiful and historic area that should be visited when on vacation in the Grand Teton National Park area.

I crossed my fingers in hope that the man standing on the rock would stay still long enough for the 6 second exposure. This photo stood out to me because it conveys a mood of peace and desolation.

Apartment 23 This image reflected my mood at the time. I took this image in my bathroom, in my old apartment.

This was at a photo shoot of the little girl. She was upset and her mom kneeled down to console her, unaware I was still shooting. Beautiful moment that I was able to capture.

I took this picture in October of 2009 on a vacation trip to Vermont. This farm, located near Woodstock, Vermont, was on my list of sights to see. I enjoy seeing farms, churches, and covered bridges. The autumn colors were splendid at that time and it was a beautiful day. These conditions led to this great picture. I recommend vacationing in Vermont and New England in general, because of the beautiful fall foliage. The atmosphere is so breathtaking and relaxing too and the local people are very nice. Try some maple syrup ice cream and other maple products while you are there!

This is a picture of my rescue dog, Sparky. I took this photo when he was having a power nap and though it was a good photo as it captures the 'real Sparky, a very lazy dog!
