KODAK MOMENT of the Day

Took this image around Cody Wyoming. We were driving and the Big horn sheep were all over on a side road and I opened my window and started taking pictures as we drove beside them on the side road. They seemed so relaxed as if we were not there.

I took this photo of a distressed ship that was abandoned alongside the shore. It was a cloudy day on a cold winter morning in January 2014. With a little imagination, I decided to create a stormy mood to help bring this ship back to life. HDR, 2+, 0, 2- exposure. CS6 was used to bring it all together. Nick Fisher

This is one of my favourite wedding shots from 2013. The couple went from their church straight to the beach to take their first steps together in the sand. I caught this moment as they returned as man and wife.

It was a magical summer morning in July 2013 in Venice sitting on the deck of the Gritti Palace Hotel as we sipped Prosecco and enjoyed a lavish brunch lstening to Volare sung by the passing Gondaleirs. A toast to Venice was appropriate to celebrate our visit to Venice and the final days of our travels to Europe.

This picture was snapped in Paris on the Passerelle Leopold-Sedar-Senghor footbridge which many young and old come to show their lock on love. It was a reminder of how young our love was at the time and how old we can grow together.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This puffer-fish LOVED the camera. Where the lens pointed, so did he. But did he ever move fast . I felt lucky to have photographed his eye so clearly while still capturing his body with the DOF.

This is my favourite picture from an informal photoshoot I had the other week. I've submitted it because I thought it's a really good example of what can be achieved with Kodak films. This was shot on my Hasselblad 500c/m, on Kodak 400TX pushed 2 stops in Xtol.

This image was "captured" using High Speed Flash Photography and a colored backdrop. A 4 second exposure was done in a completely dark room. When the drop hit the water it pushed a switch which triggered the flash unit to fire, resulting in a colorful splash of water.

my favorite bird

This is our 5 year old Pug.. she has become the love of our lives.

I love classic cars and at a local classic car show in the fall, I was able to take this low angled isolation shot of an old classic. The event was packed but somehow I managed to get a moment alone with no one else near the car and snapped this shot. I thought the image to be more creative than a traditional car shot and hence selected the artistic / creative category.

We had an ice storm in Michigan a few weeks back and everything was frozen over. I went out to lunch with family and saw these beautiful frozen cherry trees in front of the restaurant. I took the photo, changed it to black & white and colored in the cherry. That's my sister, Kristy, in the background. I just love the one spot of color in an otherwise frozen landscape. Simply gorgeous.

the timing of the photo is the most important character of it, taken in jaisalmer during my trip to Rajsthan, after all its the beautiful color and sunset behind the scene which makes me realized that NATURE IS GOD...

We always wanted to do an ode to Audrey Hepburn shoot, but the perfect situation had to arise. Meeting Kyrian at our studio was step one and the combination of Barnes Jewelers needing a new ad was step two. This photo was one of the series from the campaign. We shot it with Kodak 120 TMAX Film ISO 100 using a Mamiya RZ67 II Medium Format System. Lighting was with profoto d1 into a 7' parabolic umbrella. We hand developed it the next day - which was yesterday - 10-22-12. Enjoy!!!!

This was the first day we were able to get out after the Ice Storm on Feb. 4, 2014. Seeing the park in ice was beautiful and special sharing it with my daughter. Photo was taken at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Kentucky. In nature all seasons are unique.

I love the way the photo captures Bentley (our family pet) mid sprint, doing what she loves. It was taken on Dec. 27 2013 in Chestermere, AB.

Early evening, the last of sun light

I just loved the way the soft light fell on this blacksmith as he works with his hands. I took this shot in New Bern NC.

This picture is special to me because it shows a youthfulness and innocence that doesn't exist as much in today's society. I took this photo last year in my home with my little sister.

I was walking through a farm in Portugual and came across this curious horse.

The distinct circular seed pod of a lotus comes into view as the opening of the leaves show off its showerhead like center.

Once the spotlights go out on Mount Rushmore the stars begin to shine. This is the side view of the monument which shows George Washington's profile. The ambient light from the building and parking lights light up George Washington on the bottom of the image.

While walking in a Chicago neighborhood I came across this window. I did a double take then laughed. This was something I could pass up

This tree frog was found in my backyard among some plants. It was barely 2.5 inches long and was extremely tired and cooperative in letting me take its photo.

I took this image in San Francisco. I love the color contrast and the flow. It makes me think of changing seasons.

I arrived at the Oceanside Marine Nature Study Area late in the afternoon planning for a nice birding shoot. I spotted a photographer taking photos of butterflies I the garden next to the parking lot. I never got out of the parking lot that day.

The autumn comes again! This photo I've taken on 16 September 2012.

This picture i took in my house @ night with a black backdrop & using a hand held torch as the lighting source. It is of my daughter who to me shines like gold in personality & beauty so the gold glitter on her is how i see her, sparkling!

Tobo and Gunda , my pampered pets, have free run over my house. One of their best pass time is to bark at anyone who walks past the house gates. Tobo always leads the way as his sharp ears pick up the first hint of sound. However, he usually waits for Gunda to be the face of the fight. A typical scene involves Tobo rushing out the door step barking and calling Gunda to rise and shine, then turning around to wait in anticipation of his arrival. Gunda, in contrast, comes in at a leisurely pace with wide eyes wondering why his brother is making such a noise. I wanted to capture this daily scene in this photograph. I have taken this photographs at my home at Hyderabad in October 2013.

You asked for lighthouse pictures for National Lighthouse day so I thought this would be a nice one to share.

It's a snap of very small yellow flowers spotted in Manali, India. I found it very symbolic to a small and very happy family who live a colorful life.

I decided to take a dirt-road when driving on the South Island of New Zealand, when I came upon this fellow stood by the road, boasting of pride.

These were huge pencils stacked up on a market stall. They caught my imagination and I just had to try to capture them.

This was taken at the New Orleans Jazz Festival. This police horse was watching over a large crowd at the end of the day.
