My two sons, partners in crime, enemies of each other but lost without the other. They are the love of my life!

Because it shows the special bond between a child and their pet. St. Louis, MO, June 2013 Friends and family come in all shapes and sizes.

Josh is a 14 year old, 600 lb Black Bear that was rescued as a cub and can not live in the wild. His former home lost its permit and Josh has been staying at a rescue facility temporarily. Flamingo Gardens has been working hard for the past two years to raise funds and construct a new large habitat for Josh to live out the remainder of his life. His new home is an 8000 sq feet habitat with his own splash pool and bears cave - flamingogardens.org ? I am a proud volunteer bringing awareness of their noble work through my photography.

This photo was taken towards the end of my teaching contract in Namyangju, South Korea; while preparing to leave, this neon behemoth of a dragonfly (substantially larger than my camera lens) patiently modelled for me outside my home.

My sweet young friend and I got to enjoy a fun photo shoot a day after her chemo treatment. She is fighting a long hard battle with cancer, but wears it well. This photo is a sign of spring.. and hope.

This picture is special becuase it shows that there are many details if you just look closely enough. It was taken in June, at a Garden in Tasmania, and relates to the theme of Nature becuase flowers are a small part of nature

Shot while strolling through a car show in Merchantville, NJ. It was a lot of fun seeing what kind of interesting images I could come up with.

This picture I took in one of the most beautiful parks in Kiev. In this photo I see how many people connected with nature. People - comes from nature. What a pity that not everyone understands.

This photo was shot last week in Lahaina, Maui I thought that it showed the beauty and peacefulness of the end of another beautiful day.

The soft colors of Spring showcase a small lady bug keeping the area free of aphids which is very beneficial for the garden.

These tree swallows had a bit of an argument while I was watching them. I can?t tell you what it was about as I don?t speak bird.

I like this because it combines a few different light painting techniques. It was done in the skate park near my home in Portland, Oregon.

Photo taken in April 2014 at one of the Skagit Valley tulip fields by a 9-year old using a SLR camera for the first time. Amazing to 'see' how he 'saw' the flowers - and his excitement of capturing the photos - super cool mom moment to watch him explore. Love this photo and love being his mom :)!

Spring is the best season new life emerging all around us.

Over the last several years the Columbus Day holiday has been a time for us to travel as a family. This year was no different as we ventured to Western New York State to visit the Arcade & Attica railroad. In celebration of 50 years of passenger excursions the Arcade & Attica was running several steam passenger trips. My two sons and wife rode the trip while I followed along. Unfortunately the weather was horrible with rain and more rain. Photographic opportunity was very thin this day until a family showed up at a local grade crossing to witness the passage of the mighty steam engine. Now a photographic opportunity existed. Arcade & Attica 2-8-0 #18 steams northbound at Arcade, NY.

To me this picture couldn't of been taken at a more perfect time. The sun was in the perfect spot. I actually took this picture at a car dealer ship about 4 months ago. This photo is creative to me because its not something someone would usually take a picture of.

This is a picture of my son among the tulips. It was taken at the tulip festival in Woodburn, Oregon on April 20th of this year.He does not like to pose for pictures and tried to hide among the tulips while we were taking this.

My son received a new electric guitar for Christmas. It is so shiny and reflective and we felt made for some fun photographs taken at different angles and with different focal points. Here is one of the shots.

On this Memorial Day Weekend, i taught my son the importance of remembering those who sacrificed...all

This picture is special to me because it was taken at the Vietnam war memorial and my dad served in this war. This memorial is in Washington Dc and it was taken on a family vacation a few years back. The soldiers that fought in this war did not receive the respect they deserved when they returned back home. I feel this picture shows that there are people out there that respect them and thank them for the sacrifices they made for this country.

This beautiful bird is a two years old Eastern Screech Owl and you are looking to his best side. Unfortunately, he was injured at young age and lost the other eye. This shot was taken at Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Florida, meanwhile held by a special handler. Flamingo Gardens is a non-profit organization receiving injured animals and giving them shelter, medical attention, food, care, and love for life. I am a proud volunteer of this park trying to promote their noble and silent work through my photography.
