KODAK MOMENT of the Day

This is my first try at levitation photography. I'm not usually very good at photo manipulation, and I got a lot of compliments on this picture. So it means a lot to me because it lets me know I can always go further with my photography.

This picture was taken when the leaves started to change into vivid reds and oranges. It was the perfect opportunity to get my camera and showcase Mother Nature's masterpiece.

They look like a family to me. I could not resist.

Autumn is my favorite time of year. I especially enjoy going to and photographing at the local fairs in CT. On October 3, 2014 I photographed this colorful ferris wheel at the Berlin Agricultural Fair in Berlin, CT. I waited until the ferris wheel was most colorful and took the picture.

I chose this picture because of the vibrant colours and interesting stripes of the flower. I like the bold colour of the whole image. I took the photograph for part of my A-level photography course as the theme was 'Contrast', and i think the colours match the theme of contrast and the theme I picked for this submition.

Fairfield boat house Victoria australia . I have always like this place since I was a kid . I have seen many people photograph this area but it has always been at day time , so I wanted to be different . I love painting with light so I decided this was what i was going to do . As I already new what it looked like , I came at night time and took five images at different exposures and painting different parts of the scene . When I got home I created a HDR image using layering technique and this is how it turned out . Hope you like

Love the way my granddaughters, two year old identical twins Adelise and Vivienne adore each other, you can tell that by the way they gaze in each other's eyes. The photo was taken at a monster mash festival at Hoyt Farm in Commack, NY October 19, 2014. The girls were Twinocchios for Halloween.

Jag was orphaned at one week old and we took him in. He is a loving, affectionate cat that loves to cuddle...as if he says thank you every day.

Photo taken this summer in Paris. There are lots of activities for children that do not have the chance to go out of Paris for holidays.

Crested Caracaras are residents in Cuba, South & Central America, Mexico, and the southern United States. These beautiful birds are in the Wildlife Sanctuary at Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Florida, being well cared since they are injured animals receiving shelter, food, and love for life. This protea was the largest one I have seen. There is so much detail in the makeup of this beautiful flower.

The light and color were very brief, and I was luck enough to be able to stop for this shot. It was taken Oct. 30, 2013 near Trail B.C. in the early morning. It relates to the theme by illustrating the contrast between man and the natural course of nature.

This was shot at the Korean War Memorial in Washington, DC. It is a tribute to the veterans of one of America's most overlooked conflicts.

Drying clothes in the monsoon is quite a challenge. Abandoned by the clothes, the clothesline and clothespins were supposed to look sad and forlorn. But it did not! It was as if they came to life... glistening raindrops lined up in unison gave it a special lease of life as the clothes pins took on a fresh colour. The rains seem to cheer just about anyone and anything up! I have taken this photograph in Hyderabad, India on 12th July 2013. I have tried to capture the ordinary things of daily life in artistic manner.

This picture is special to me as I have managed to capture the fine details of the subject's eye. The subject is very old, partially blind, deaf and has Alzheimer's. She is older than me (I am 21) and she was a fantastic subject which sat still throughout a 45 minute shoot. I took it in a village named Mansfield Woodhouse which is in Nottinghamshire, UK. I don't believe that it is just a 'animal/pet' shot. To me it is an artistic/creative shot as it isn't you cliché pet shot.

I liked the innocent expression of this little girl during Eid prayer at Dhanbad.

Photo taken October, 2009 after a walk with my husband at Taughannock Falls, Finger Lakes area of New York State. It shows both the fleeting beauty of the fall leaf and the enduring beauty of the rock.

Although I have not had the opportunity to visit these creatures in their natural habitat, I often visit the zoo when I am not in school to capture portraits of many of the animals that live there. This Golden Lion Tamarin wasn't in a cage; it was allowed to swing from tree to tree and climb on the ropes that were strung form the trees.

Came across this dog watching over a flock of sheep outside of Flagstaff, Az.

I saw this pink pumpkin at Carpenter's farm produce stand in Charlestown, Rhode Island. We were vacationing there and I'd never seen a pumpkin this color.

I really captured a nice moment at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. The sun coming through to the frozen surroundings is beautiful.

It was early evening hours in November walking in the narrow street of Latin Quarter of Paris. It was quite cold, but the soft yellow light coming from the windows of this lovely restaurant, and from other windows, had warm and inviting feel. The photo was taken when I was visiting my cousin there in November 2010.

This photo, to me, represents the "reflection" of days past and the innocence of a child. This photograph was taken in Dorset, Ohio, at an Amish-owned country store.
