KODAK MOMENT of the Day

A squirrel at our bird feeder tries to make a desperate and determined attempt to reach the top.

I am trying to provoke myself every minute to give rise to new ideas and projects, to do something beyond the boundaries of imagination.

This was the day after Christmas, our first snow in the Roanoke valley. Taken on top of Mill Mountain, Roanoke, VA. Peaceful and beautiful, my son and I were the only people up on the mountain.

Our cats always want to be wherever I am when I'm outdoors shooting (they leap into trees, get in the frame, etc...) This one found a precarious place to pose in the river. Taken in our backyard, Kingsville, OH, Oct. 2014.

I find classic automobiles to have a design that incorporates a blending of style and shapes that seems to have been lost in the design of contemporary vehicles. Even small details, such as the grill and hood ornament of this old Packard can be striking.

Kiryu, an hour outside of Kyoto, Japan, still has many traditional craftsmen. This young woman is the daughter of a lifelong paper maker and is making paper for the middle school diplomas.

This was the first photo I took with my new camera (panasonic G1) after moving up from using a camera phone, photography is now fast becoming a big part of my life. It was taken at home after everyone had gone to bed to I had time to perfect the exposure.

This is Roo, she's a 3 year old whippet. This was taken out on a walk. I love this picture because it shows her confused emotion and makes me laugh.

When she found out her cancer had returned, she came to me with the idea of the boxing gloves.. so she could ' fight cancer".. ready for round two.. the bravest 15 year old I've ever met.

Flowers are always nice to enjoy, smelling their fresh scents and seeing their beauty, but I like to add some "rain drops" to get reflections of the flowers nearby. I took this in my yard recently, now I can enjoy them all winter long! Fresh roses, all but the scent!

I love when nature plays tricks on you and makes you see more than what it is. I took this picture on the first day of snow fall in our town a couple of weeks ago and I really like how it looks. It relates because snow is nature. The way the snow is stacked makes you wonder what is it trying to protray.

This picture is very special to me because I have taken many eye shots like this but they never came out like this.

Beause the sun is all alone with trickles of cloud in front of it.it was taken at the back of my house,it is an unusual shot of the sun that you dont see very often.

Captured this sweet lookin' creature using my Nikon D800 and Tamron 60mm Macro Lens. And I have to say, shooting spiders, macro style is NOT my favorite. They do jump.
