If you look closely and you will notice how the shape of the water drop distorts the refraction,this image shows three shapes of water drops and makes it my pride and joy to date.

I caught a glimpse of the Cottage under the Bridge as I was riding the Canal path yesterday. So pleased to have captured the scene as I saw it. A beautiful place, so glad I could share it

I really like this picture of a daisy with the very subtle tones on the flower. I took this picture with a used Hasseblad 500C I had just purchased recently. The picture was shot with TX film. After many years of staying away from film, I decided recently to shoot film again. I purchased a used Hasseblad and a used Leica. I needed to test both cameras quickly to make sure they were working correctly. I purchased TX B&W film for both cameras and took a number of shots. I developed the film with D-76 and then scanned the negatives This is one of the first pictures I took with the Hasseblad. I am still shooting digital, but I am also loving shooting film again. I hope you continue to produce film into the future.

We woke up at 530am to catch the sunrise in Mathura and ran into a group of kids playing Holi. One group befriended us and the turf war began. For over an hour the battle of water guns, balloons, colors, and buckets of water went on. Holi is a festival celebrated in Spring in India and Nepal. Known as a religious festival of sorts, it's mainly a celebration of the beginning of Spring, hence the reason bright colors and love are used to bring the season in. On the day of Holi, beautiful colored powders and water are thrown and not one thing is spared.

A sporty beginning of the morning

The orange sac on the leg of this bee is a basket filled with pollen that she gathers from flowers. The female bee provides her offspring with the pollen she has collected from numerous flowers.

We absorb the shapes we see. Architecture and infrastructure decide our actions, guiding us on our way home. We spend roughly 80-90% of our lives in cities so this relationship between design and human behavior is one of the most important aspects of life. This is an extract from an essay that explores the city in images and movements, a dance inspired by the shapes of the city. The aim of this photographic experiment is to investigate the relationship between design elements with regards to individuals' behavioral response to the public space. Created by three foreigners living in Barcelona, including a young actor from Lithuania, Marius Marte Marzo, and two young photographers Oana Radu and Adina Ilie from Romania.

This fellow is from a local farm. He actually IS a gentleman. Loves to be petted on his comb; he will even close his eyes while you are doing so. He is quite unique in the rooster world.

This is the second biggest crater in the world, aprox 1.8 Km for diameter. It´s active and its just a few miles away from my home. I can smell it and hear it sometimes. I took it last Feb on an early morning. For me its one of the most amazing volcanoes in the world.

I took this picture during a holiday in Cambodia. The monks were visiting the old temples of Angkor Wat, where their roots were made.

Thich fog in the morning, just the top of the hill was visible.

I took this at my grandmothers. I like this picture because of how the eyes and wiskers of the squirrel stand out from the squirrels silhouette. One of my favorites!

This picture was taken in Manchester UK in 2011. It caught my son having an impromptu jumping session outside Picadilly Railway Station. I took a few pictures and this was the result. The picture has not been reworked in any way whatsoever.

This photo represents the of dismissing the cold winter and beginning of spring. The photo was taken at a public park just before the Tulip Festival. Nothing more beautiful than the simple flower - the tulip.

The picture of Emalee with her grandma's hand was taken when she was just a few days old in September of 2005. It was taken at her house in Columbus OH. I loved the contrast of my obviously old hand with this brand new little one.

My son and his family took me to see this gorgeous mansion in NC.

The Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary gives residence to permanently injured and non-releasable wildlife and is home to 83 species of Florida native birds and animals including alligators, panthers, bobcats, otters, eagles, peacocks, and of course flamingos. The half-acre Free-flight Aviary boasts over 250 birds representing 45 species. In the last 20 years birds in the Aviary have produced over 2000 offspring which have been release into the wild - www.flamingogardens.org I am a proud volunteer at this park bringing awareness of their silent and noble work through my photography.

To me this photograph illustrates the beauty and romance of traveling by a steam powered locomotive in the 21st Century, I feel it also highlights the gap between people in poverty and people living a well off life as the person in the photograph lives under the bridge the train is on along with his family and other families. I took this photograph while on leave traveling from Cape Town to Simon's Town in South Africa on 7 July 2013. If feel my photograph relates well the travel and vacation theme because the steam powered travel is a growing, powerful and unique form of transport for tourists to use in 2013 in Cape Town, South Africa.

My daughter, my first born just turned 12. I asked her for a kiss and she said no so I said fine lets take a selfie, she said yes so before I snapped the picture, I stole a kiss

Here is Sam, my dog's best friend and a most loved hound amongst the neighbourhood. Here I am dropping him off home as the sun light created these stripes upon him. With his obedience and my orders he managed to pose for about 3 seconds. This was taken during the heatwave in London of August 2013. It relates to the theme as Sam is a beautiful Labrador dog - a pet.

The Deep Ellum arts festival, in Dallas, Texas is a wonderful display of talents. This lady had her face painted with a purple butterfly and accented with costume jewels. Behind her is another example of the painterly talents of the event.

A mature white ibis (on the right) gives an immature white ibis (feathers still changing color) a surprise peck of its beak perhaps indicating to get a move on.

I've never seen a cluster of mushrooms before so I had to capture it up close.

A sleepy morning with my baby

I shot this photo in Dutchess County NY, I was struck by the rich primary colors of the scene. I have been making photographs of walls, colors and shadows for many years.

Nature in Spring comes alive with the sweet fragrance of flowers while blooms invite pollination.

Chloe is a beautiful college student attending a conservatory who wants a future in dance. This photo was taken in Laguna Beach CA.

This was taken while we were in Dubuque, Iowa, while we were on the American Queen paddle wheel steamship, going down the Mississippi River.
