Santa Fe lighting
I was photographing in Santa Fe NM for my class. It was the end of the day and an amazing lighting storm came up. I thought it was a unique opportunity to capture the lighting. I shot over a 100 images to get this one. Timing is everything. This is a straight shot without the use of multiple exposures. It feels honest to me. I photographed it in August 2014. I put it in Artistic and creative because I feel like I made the photo with the help of nature but because I know my equipment I was able to make the image.

It was on a camera club weekend outing and the owner of the cottage had invited the whole group to hold our sunset shoot at his and his wife's cottage. While soliciting for some divine help, this old Ladakhi lady was eager to pose for a photograph in exchange for some money. In the cold high altitudes of Ladakh, this could perhaps have been her only source of survival in reality.
