My great grandfather who suffers from Alzheimer's, I wanted the main focal point to be his eyes as they are what tell the story, the lost look in his eyes.

This is one of those moments when you say to yourself, where is my camera? Find it and snap. I thought this man with his dog was too funny of a picture to pass up. I was in Florida on vacation, visiting my mother. She was driving and I was a passenger in her car.

Once a year be two people in the "not real" connected during the traditional country wedding.

I took this picture on the Southern slopes of Mount Ainos. It was taken on 14th Sept 2014. It was not posed or set up, the horse posed for me and gave me one of the biggest thrills of my life. My wife and I were deeply moved by the beauty of the animal.

Walking down a path in Crater Lake National Park during the day I looked up and wondered how it might look at night with a sky full of stars. Luckily I made it back that night and I was able to get this image.

Taken last summer during my holiday to Crete, Greece. Walking through the back streets of a small village, I stumbled across the homeless puppy. The emotions in the eyes say it all...

This picture is special to me because I often visit and sit watching this river to have a stress free mind especially after my working hours.Im working as a nurse in a hospital near this area.I took it Sept 27,2013 at Attawapiskat Ontario.Its related to the theme because it heals my the stress within me physically and mentally.

This photo was taken while cruising on a riverboat in France. While looking out our window as the boat was underway, we noticed our breakfast reflection . The picture seemed complete with the trees in the background. But the colors were quite dim overall, so I decided to play with the colors to achieve a more whimsical illusion of the food and water. By the way, the egg was scrumptious.

On a weekend holiday in Val David, my wife Anne and I took a 40km bike ride through some of the most beautiful scenery. We both love autumn and its colors.

A spectacular sunrise against a brilliant blue sky with moored boats in one of the numerous ghats at Varanasi makes one stop and savor the breathtaking moment. I stopped too to capture this tranquil sunrise for eternity.

On March 30, 2015, I was at home when suddenly my wife came to tell me about an unexpected visitor in our garden. To my surprise it was a beautiful specimen of the Green Iguana (Iguana iguana). It stayed still while I took some nice up close portraits. Iguana iguana is native to Central and South America, and was introduced into Puerto Rico in the 1970s as a result of pet trade. This reptile has spread throughout Puerto Rico, where its negative effects may threaten local biodiversity.

Golden leaves everywhere.

This picture was taken at a Bengali (Indian) wedding during a ceremony called "panigrahan", which literally means receiving of a woman's hand in marriage. The concept and the importance attached to it shows the respect and position of honour women in indian society enjoy, and that itself made it a memory worth clicking.

Taken this picture in Norway when I visited a person close to my heart. This was on October 04, my 23rd birthday.

This is my cat, Samantha, on the toy piano she likes to bang on every once in a while, usually when her dinner is late.

Halloween in Japan 2012. This was right after I was first told I was cancer free! Happy to make it back home to my daughter and her friends to share another Halloween with them.

We will never forget our dead people. On 1 November in many countries of Europe we commemorate our dead people.

With the shadow, light, people and pigeons I thought this an interesting image.

I took this while out walking with my partner. We had a great day and I was just palying about with a new filter. I took this as a last shot looking the other way from the main waterfall. This was the best picture of the day.

This photo was taken in one of the mountainous areas in the north of Iraq. It is a ?time laps? to record all phases of the day in a single image. Photography began 4:00 p.m and continued till 3:00 a.m of the next day. During this period almost 1500 image were captured.. Here is the final one

I was on my way to the Veteran's Day ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery when I saw this hill of tombstones framed by a tree blazing with fall color.

I took this picture of coal harbor in Vancouver while travelling. I'd been in Canada for a month and the weather had been awful. desperate to get a great photo I took my camera everywhere. The day was grey but I kept my hopes up and waited for the sun to begin to set. Amazingly, all of a sudden the sky changed as the clouds broke, creating a beautiful picture

It was misty and quiet in this forest. And a little bit eery.

Most awaited person without whom a morning can?t be good. They (usually kids) deliver the newspaper ignoring cold or rain. Really thankful to them, without them a day can?t be started. I have taken this photo in Hyderabad in March 2013. This picture is about the people who make our daily lives comfortable.

On a clear frigid May morning around 4am, I hiked around Cadillac Mountain looking for a great spot to setup my camera equipment. The temperature was in the 20's with very strong winds which made it difficult at first to capture a picture in focus, but once the sun rose above the horizon the rays gave off a stunning glow which made getting up very early and dealing with the freezing cold worth it to capture this inspirational shot.

The children were in Nature Kempenbroek playing along the waterfront in the greenest region off the world 2014 in Weert.

This picture is special to me because this is the last time my best friend and I would be able to enjoy the sunrise while duck hunting. Due to the fact we will be heading to college next winter. So through this picture I tried capturing the true beauty of hunting on the rice fields.
