KODAK MOMENT of the Day

On March 30, 2015, I was at home when suddenly my wife came to tell me about an unexpected visitor in our garden. To my surprise it was a beautiful specimen of the Green Iguana (Iguana iguana). It stayed still while I took some nice up close portraits. Iguana iguana is native to Central and South America, and was introduced into Puerto Rico in the 1970s as a result of pet trade. This reptile has spread throughout Puerto Rico, where its negative effects may threaten local biodiversity.

Golden leaves everywhere.

This picture was taken at a Bengali (Indian) wedding during a ceremony called "panigrahan", which literally means receiving of a woman's hand in marriage. The concept and the importance attached to it shows the respect and position of honour women in indian society enjoy, and that itself made it a memory worth clicking.

I took this while out walking with my partner. We had a great day and I was just palying about with a new filter. I took this as a last shot looking the other way from the main waterfall. This was the best picture of the day.

This photo was taken in one of the mountainous areas in the north of Iraq. It is a ?time laps? to record all phases of the day in a single image. Photography began 4:00 p.m and continued till 3:00 a.m of the next day. During this period almost 1500 image were captured.. Here is the final one

I was on my way to the Veteran's Day ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery when I saw this hill of tombstones framed by a tree blazing with fall color.

I took this picture of coal harbor in Vancouver while travelling. I'd been in Canada for a month and the weather had been awful. desperate to get a great photo I took my camera everywhere. The day was grey but I kept my hopes up and waited for the sun to begin to set. Amazingly, all of a sudden the sky changed as the clouds broke, creating a beautiful picture

Most awaited person without whom a morning can?t be good. They (usually kids) deliver the newspaper ignoring cold or rain. Really thankful to them, without them a day can?t be started. I have taken this photo in Hyderabad in March 2013. This picture is about the people who make our daily lives comfortable.

On a clear frigid May morning around 4am, I hiked around Cadillac Mountain looking for a great spot to setup my camera equipment. The temperature was in the 20's with very strong winds which made it difficult at first to capture a picture in focus, but once the sun rose above the horizon the rays gave off a stunning glow which made getting up very early and dealing with the freezing cold worth it to capture this inspirational shot.

This picture is special to me because this is the last time my best friend and I would be able to enjoy the sunrise while duck hunting. Due to the fact we will be heading to college next winter. So through this picture I tried capturing the true beauty of hunting on the rice fields.

I live with several cats who get involved with Christmas decorating...Uno claims the box as hers after I remove the contents. Christmas preparation takes a little longer in my case...but they are family!
