The best gift I have ever received was becoming a mother. No matter how tired I am from a long day of work, I always look forward to seeing my precious son. He makes life worthwhile in every single way. I wouldn’t trade being a mother for anything. Cheers to all of the amazing and strong mother’s, because without you, there’s no such thing as pure love. 

The first time we visited Hawaii. We were exhausted from 12+ of travel but it was so beautiful we couldn’t wipe the smile from our faces.

I hope you dance. My son and his senior prom 2019. His girlfriend loved how her dress twirled and would spin around like a little girl in a new dress. I LOVE the true laughter shown on her face.

This picture is when my daughter first time met her baby brother in hospital...That expression of happiness and warmth in her face is always going to be my best memory.

A friend of my boyfriend took us by surprise while we were on our trip to the jungle. While hiking to get to the waterfalls, he took this beautiful moment. All those itches from mosquitoes and tiredness were worth it while watching my favorite pic -- with my love.

This photo was taken during our Desert Safari family trip in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in September 2008. Despite the hot weather, the family pursued our first-ever all-girl adventure trip. Through this photo, we were able to capture the moment, that is, human excitement and nature combined.

This picture was taken on a missions trip to Kigali Rwanda. This boy was in a local orphanage along with 51 kids and 5 adults. Their joy was very inspirational that we should take light in everyday.

This picture was taken on July 4th during my family's vist to New York. While the rest of us were enjoying the sights from the boat, my 4-year-old daughter preferred cooling off in the shade. New York in July was truly hotter than Texas!

After completing his self-motivated challenge 365x50KM where he had rode his bicycle minimum 50KM a day for 365 days or a year without any miss.

This is a photograph of my youngest daughter, Daisy, having a whale of a time at the local park last month. She's one crazy little girl and i think this shows her character and spirit in a nutshell.

It's May and my grandson is the first one in the pool this year....the water is NOT warm! This is Connecticut for heaven's sake.

I love watching my grandsons play baseball. This was just a day at the ballpark in May. Stopping action is my favorite thing to do.

This picture was from a recent morning at the park with my granddaughter.  Her

complete inhibition and pure joy of riding on the swing made me think of the

simple things in life and how very important they are.  Ahh...to live in the

moment!! 

This is my 4 year old daughter, Taylor. I took the picture this past weekend in a large field adjacent to a soccer field. I originally intended to take some soccer pictures, but ended up in the field instead with a much better subject.

What is it with little boys and water in the summer? It doesn't matter if it's the pool, the lake, a slip-n-slide, or a sudden summer rainshower...if my little boy can get wet he's thrilled! This is special to me because it reminds me of when I was a little girl and I told my mom I'll use the umbrella, I promise...Yeah, right!!

On a lazy summer day, "pop-pop" gives his granddaughter a lesson on blowing bubbles.

My granddaughter seemed to sense this was a day for celebrating. I was so pleased to capture this joyful moment with her parents.

Shown here, my daughter, Cheyenne, and family dog, Zoe, look full of sunshine and happiness. To me it expresses summer; joyful and exuberant. I took this picture while "the girls" were hanging out together on our swingset. Full of unconditional love and playfulness, this photo depicts what we wish for most in a pet!

For me this picture represent a county feel that is very distinct to Nashville. It embodies spring time and music. This picture is one that I am very proud of as a photographer.

My granddaughter Madison and her friends have gone through school together since kindergarten and now are graduating high school . A new chapter in their lives is about to began.

This is my daughter, and my son always tells her, "You hit like a girl!" Well, yep, she does. And when she blasts that ball, she smiles at her brother as she rounds third base on her way home - making him and her whole family proud!

My 2 year old has wanted to be a ballerina for the past 6 months. I just happened to be at the beach taking photos of friends kids when she picked up the ribbons and I captured this shot. It was not till I got home and saw she was actually on her tippy toes that I really fell in love with how beautiful she and photos looked. She just loves it too because,'I look like a ballerina mummy'...

My son has been learning how to wake board the past few summers. Now, he's starting to get really high on his jumps, and he tells me he's ready to try flips! I can't say that I'm looking forward to that, as much as him!

After a long day at the beach, my youngest daughter was too tired to play anymore. Snuggling with daddy is always a great option.

This picture was taken in Destin, FL of my son and my husband. After I saw the picture, I immediately fell in love with it -- it looked so professional. I'm proud to say, I used my Kodak digital camera to take the picture.

I came across this delightful scene at our local beach and loved how the little boy mimicked his father's stance and how he (along with his teddy) was so absorbed in the sand drawing :)

After struggling with miscarriages for over a decade we were happily surprised with a baby girl when we least expected it. I photographed baby Aubrey in her daddy's arms in our home when she was only 2 weeks old.

This picture is of my daughter Laila, taken this past June by my sister-in-law. We were over at my in laws for dinner and we brought watermelon. My husband sliced it up and we headed outside to enjoy it. He was eating his piece when Laila started crying, so went over and picked her up. He offered her a bite of his watermelon and she tried it! He didn't get to eat anymore of it! She LOVED it. Alecia snapped this picture of Laila enjoying her first piece of watermelon and we thought it was priceless!!

Playing at the beach in Florida my son began drawing with a stick, gave me the idea to write in the sand. I love the composition here.

People are enjoying summer activities again after the long period of rain we've had here in the Northeast. I took this picture because I loved the energy, the interaction between team members and the dust being kicked up by the players.

A relaxing Sunday afternoon offered a great opportunity to snap a few photos. Getting my son and his kite in the same photo was not working well until I got the idea of shooting from below him.

I captured this shot one June weekend in my backyard. I loved seeing the older kids in my family spending quality time with the younger children. The bond developed by these small moments of interaction between the younger and the older children will forever be cherished and are priceless in memories.

This picture is special because it shows my funny and playful puppy enjoying cooling off on a very hot day in New Orleans this past June. The picture put the day in perspective--the weather was unreasonably hot and I was happy to capture the image of my Miki doing what we would all wished we could do on such a hot day.

This is a special picture, which shows action, youth, health, color and more. I like the hand reaching forward. I took this shot of my daughter couple years ago in a swimming pool.

This image was taken in July at Chicago's Navy Pier. I was watching the children enjoying themselves on the ride and thought that I would capture their happiness.

This is a photo of my brother, who lives in Charlotte, NC., taken during a very hot July day at his neighborhood pool. The photo captures him as he descends off a waterslide with a giant splash and a big smile. A father of 4 girls, including 2 teenagers, I was so tickled to have captured this youthful side him as it is a reminder to us all to stay forever young at heart.

This is a picture of a dear friends daughter. I took this on July 29th, 2011 on Two Lick Lake, Indiana, PA. Quinn is jumping of the front of my boat. We try and include as many family and friends to enjoy the boating season. This was taken with my KODAK CAMERA....Love it....

I'm a film photographer, recently I bought a 30mm for my medium format camera and this was the very first frame.  The lens is so huge that my 1-year-old was fascinated by it. I was able to capture a frame of her at her most inquisitive. She NEVER sits still so this is a rare and special picture for me. I see in this one frame all the excitement and intrigue of her youth. 

This was taken on the Manhattan Bridge, July 2011 - while walking on a breezy evening, viewfinder and shutter driven. Alicia's smile has quite an effect on me. She reminds me how beautiful thoughts can be in New York, and why I came here in the first place.
