KODAK MOMENT of the Day

The Seattle Center Fountain is our kids favorite place to cool off.  Everybody seems to cool off in the Seattle Center Fountain on a hot sunny afternoon.

This is my son. It was over 100 degrees that day, and he was cooling off by riding his motocross bike through the mud. He had so much fun covered in all that mud!

This is a picture of my daughter doing the "Nestea Plunge" in our pool. It is a beautiful picture that represents childhood summer fun!

This is my favorite pinhole photo I've shot. It pulls in all the elements I love about pinhole...muted, yet infinite focus, vignette, motion blur and stretching corners. And the subject is my daughter, which moves it from "pretty good" to "pretty perfect" for me. I shot it in May, 2013 while on holiday in Amelia Island, Florida. It encapsulates all that I love, my family, pinhole photography, and travel.

I took this photo just at sunset at the Florida State Fair.

This photo comes from Georgia, where we know how to grow watermelons. Our 1 year old loved sitting for this photo--we were having a record breaking heatwave.

I was taking a picture of my Grandson and our cat jumped in unexpectedly. 

This picture was made in Italy (Abruzzo) in July. We went there for the holidays. This is my daughter Valerie. She is 6 years old and she learned to swim this past winter. Now she swims like a fish and enjoys it very much.

Had a splash celebrating my granddaughter, Coraline’s, first birthday at the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead, NY.  Her brother, Jameson, showed her the best places to to view all the sea life as they swam around the huge tank. It was a great place for a birthday celebration!

This picture is special to me because it is almost father's day and that is my father sitting with my brother.

This was taken at St. George Island state park in FL, June. My daughter caught this little guy & wanted to send him back into the water with a kiss!

This photo demonstrates the beautiful bond a person can create with an animal, this is my boyfriend and my pony, he was originally apprehensive around horses but they have built a friendship together. This photo shows the gentle nature of the horse. Taken at my home in Lincolnshire.

They just finished Sunday morning session of football coaching and wanted a way to release all their pent up energy. A fantastic way of doing that was to challenge each other in simple physical games like this high jump over a friend. Don’t you wish you could be a child again?

I took this picture of my daughter last November in Hawaii. It was my first experience of underwater shooting.

My granddaughters are always good natured although sometimes they lose patience when I try to take too many photos of them.

A beautiful sunset at the beach in the pretty village of Oostkapelle in Netherlands

This photo captures the look of love on the little girl's face as well as the puppy's face as it is being hugged. Picture was taken of my daughter's softball coaches' child and a puppy as they both relaxed during the softball game.

This is special to me because it reminds me of happiness. And it is a rare moment between two sisters.

I just loved watching this sweetheart taking in the spectacular mid-summer view of the prairie. This picture was taken on a Manitoba Canada country road.

This is my daughter...a girl who is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, and yet still unaware of her potential as an empowered woman. Photo was taken at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.

A day at the museum, seems a bit cliche. But he insisted since it was my first time. I enjoyed every moment of it, walking around and touching the paintings and sculptures like a little curious child. I’d say each moment spent that day felt more magical than it already was.

A weekly tradition of selfies with me and my grandson Seamus! He stole my heart the day he was born! So blessed to be able to spend time with him!

I took my kids down to the creek below our house in Alabama for some photos. It is so beautiful there. The water flows over the road and the lighting is just perfect under the shade of the trees. This picture was my favorite because it wasn't posed. My son picked up a "cool" rock and his sister said, "Let me see!".

This was the very first time my husband's dog and his mothers went to the beach. Stud (left) passed away last September, so this picture reminds me of how smart and gentle he was, and how he was like a big brother to Major (right). This was taken in Halfmoon bay, CA.

I just love when I can get a beautiful Chattanooga Tn Sunset. In addition to the sunset a siloet of a young boy was captured fishing on the boat ramp with his father at the Tennessee Riverpark.

I’ve often been told I don’t smile or laugh as much as I use to. Well today in middle of a memory a laugh and smile was caught on camera perfectly. I’m just glad it didn’t blur out and stayed in focus. It’s the simple things in life that sometimes make us laugh the most.

Benjamin started school last week and he didn't have the best time. So for Monday morning he was allowed to only do a half day. With only a half day, that gives us more time for adventures. He never held his sisters' hand before but he was so happy about his half day that he would do anything. 

I had my Canon A1 inside my rucksack with much other stuff in Romania and the back just opened itself. First I was on the edge of despair because these were precious holiday photos and my digital camera had been stolen a few days back, but when I got the results, I was positively surprised about the beautiful effect. This was shot on Kodak Ektar 100, my favorite color film.

Just a Day in Islamorada Life in The Fl Keys Finnegan is our First Mate aboard the Historic Skip Jack sailboat Sol Sister , we were taking a well deserved swim .

While visiting Chicago last summer, my grandson spent some quality time checking out all the cars, trucks, and people out our hotel window. This shot has become a favorite with my friends and family.

This is special to me because she is my granddaughter. I took this photograph in our pool this summer having alot of fun with my family.

This picture is special to me because it captures my boy's innocent smile, like a moment of true joy captured directly from the heart. It was taken within our house with just the morning light coming in through the window. It will remain as one my prized possessions among the family photographs.

This is my best friend's daughter. I was there when she was born, and she is so incredibly special to me. I took this photo over the summer at our cabin in Northern Michigan. It embodies everything about her so perfectly: her personality, her innocence, her unique wisdom for someone her age. She is amazing.

This is New Orleans on any given Sunday when 2nd Line Clubs proudly dance through the streets of their neighborhood. The band is the heartbeat of the city. If you look in between the musicians you will see a few faces trailing. Their are thousands following the band. It is New Orleans

Styling together for beach day! 

I loved the expression on this toddler's face as he explored the gourd's texture. To a 10-month-old, the "first" harvest is always exciting. The picture was taken on a farm in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.

At a friend's bar-b-q party, her dog got a little out of hand. I noticed her explaining the rules of etiquette to Buddy and snapped this picture.

With my youngest son graduating high school this year we decided to take a possible last family vacation all together. This sunset was from our first night in Puerto Rico.

This was taken of my daughter the afternoon after Hurricane Dorian brushed the Florida coastline. We live on the Indian River and wanted to get outside after being inside for several hours. The sunset was gorgeous and on the other side of us was a rainbow.

I was taking pictures for a friend at a Pee Wee Football game in Petal, MS. For me, this photo shows how young boys take challenges that will one day make them men.

Last spring I took a chance at growing some sunflowers. I am not much of a gardener, however they actually grew...like crazy! This is my daughter with one of our home grown sunflowers.

Staying at an RV park in New Mexico, I sat and watched this grandmother blowing bubbles with her grandchildren visiting her trailer... they were there a long time... it was a precious moment.

We were on a train from Oklahoma to Texas, she is always looking for the next great photo.

My son Ethan plays cello for his 7th-grade orchestra. He was practicing outside on a beautiful fall day. We got a few looks from people driving by but that's okay. It's all in the name of art :)

After years of different sports, this was my son's first soccer game playing for a traveling, year-round team. Of all the sports he has played, this is his passion. We live in Evans, GA and the game was played in Columbia, SC.
