KODAK MOMENT of the Day

After the french quarantine, this photo was taken during the first street skate session with my friend Adrien.
The occasion to grab my Pentax 6x7 and cruise skateboarding the streets of Lille, north of France.
During the session we were talking about the quarantine and saying that it was "behind us" and so we wanted to do photos taken from the back of the subject ... here is an extract of this ! 

Me and Buddy have only been paddle boarding together a couple of months but he loves it! He’s a 9 year old Dalmatian that is terrified of water - but the board lets him enjoy the water without getting wet.

Thé joy of being able to go out to make sunsets by the sea. The sky changes every evening and when it’s reflected In the sea it’s a mirror picture.

I came home from work last weekend and saw the two of them riding around on the lawnmower in the backyard.

When I walked to the backyard my son wanted to come say hi to me. So I picked him up, we said hello, and then he waddled back over to his dad on the lawnmower. Gesturing to be picked up, Cody picked him up and sat him on his lap. I pulled out my phone to take a couple pictures, and after taking a couple Carter leaned into his dad for a kiss, and I was able to capture the moment you see here.

This picture is a wonderful representation of the love and bond they share.

Dreaming about the beach.

It was my best friend Julia’s birthday and her favorite flower is the sunflower. I surprised her by taking her to a sunflower field and every moment was nothing but pure joy.

This moment captures a glimpse of Xander Cage, my little ridgeback pup! No matter what, when he sleeps by me or on me, he always stretches out his front leg and gives me a hug! He can be a little rascal but what baby isn’t? He is full of warmth and cuddles! I ruv you Xander Cage❤️

My biological clock being set at dawn I regularly take advantage of the Morning Light in search of sunny scenes.
This morning "The public" was also present to admire the Gâtinaise mist at sunrise.

Just taking pictures of our two amazing children . They are 2 and 3 and no matter what’s going on in the world they are always a source of joy . 

We took an evening stroll through the streets of Munich and captured the last sunlights. 

I didn’t know this picture was being taken when it was. What a sweet moment. A beautiful reminder. 
Went on a mid-morning walk yesterday. 
On Monday, during our family devotional time we talked about paths. From Proverbs 4:14-19 , 22:6. 
Danny and I asked questions like “what are the two ‘paths’ of life that we can choose? What are they like?” 
While I was referencing Matthew 7:13-14 ; about the small gate and narrow path, that only few would actually find. And how the Bible says that more would walk the wider / broad / easier path (the enemy’s path, I called it)...
De’Angelo had a question. 
“What happens if you get lost and you go on the enemy’s path?” 
A question that, from a 5 year old at 9am I certainly wasn’t expecting. Danny and I answering him back between us. 
We told him that “God is always ready to lead us in the path of righteousness just like our Bible verses we are memorizing tells is (psalm 23) and if someone gets lost. They can always ask for forgiveness and ask the Lord to lead them back in the right path.” 
He had a long “oooooh.” 
And the sweet thinking face he puts on. 
Danny making eye contact with me, “that was a good question. ?” 
So when I found this picture was taken and saw the path we were walking on together it was almost like a wink from God. I had immediately remembered the devotion from the day before. 
I am not quite sure why, but I felt pressed to share. Maybe you feel lost. Maybe you didn’t even know there were two paths to begin with. I don’t know where you are walking right now in the moment. 
But God does. And it matters to Him where you are walking. Because YOU matter to Him. 

P.S. 
During this picture De’Angelo had been sharing with me how big he thought the trees were. That I (Desirée) was big but he said the trees were even bigger. Why? And I said, “well, because God wanted them to be that big baby.” 

And just like that, 
Teaching moments happen. About God. About the Bible. Teaching me. Teaching him.

It takes 100 shots to get one perfect picture but those imperfect pictures make the best memories. 

My partner lives on the other side of the country so this winter and spring we got a handful of disposable Kodak cameras and film for my 35mm SLR and shot a bunch of our favourite moments to keep us feeling connected when we are apart. Thank you Kodak!   Morgan Evelyn

A day without electronics lead us to Anahuac's National Wildlife Refuge. I took this photo to capture my children, enjoying nature's beauty. Michael 11yrs, Xavier 7yrs, and Kayla 8yrs. 

The light of sunset on the Potomac River casts a soft light on a boat in a quiet cove. 

When the clouds started rolling over and the rain started pouring, we decided there was no better time to grab our yoga mats and outside. There is no better way to end a stressful day than yoga overlooking a beautiful view, in all the elements!

Korbin was playing around on his sisters skateboard, and thought he was pretty cool when he worked out he could do (in his words) *a cool trick*.

Quarantined Family Fourth

The best reward after a full day of hiking, looking over Lake Garibaldi from Panorama ridge. A sunset I will never forget!

My friend Thomas and I had just started our road trip on the island Senja in northern Norway, when this crazy evening light of a summer polar night started glowing. Thomas was going berserk with his mobile camera, and I just had to capture him capturing this Kodak Moment.

In time of happiness, we celebrate. 
In times of a pandemic we mourn and pray for the people in need... 
Little things in our everyday yet so profound in nature.
Maybe it’s us being a parents but we hope that more than ever that the future for our next generation brings happiness and greater things!

To all the children of mankind: Be yourself, make mistakes, try new things and break the social norms we all abide by, love and be loved and don’t ever forget to say “please” and “thank you.” Everyone will always remember these magic words. 

Kodak love from Tokyo

I was at the beach with my children, The sun blaring, no wind it was beautiful. I was just taking random pics of my kids and the waves when this  couple caught my eye, struggling to pull their kayak into the water. The waves crashing into them as they tried to push pass. 

During a hike in Corsica, a magical moment above everything.

When I tickled my daughter so hard we both cried from laughing, and she yells “I pee in my pull ups!”

Since quarantine has started, I have had to come up with clever ways to express my passion for photography at home, one of those being puppy photoshoots with my dog. On a warm, summer day, I photographer my dog's innocent gaze with his ears perked up towards the camera. My photo expresses his energetic, spunky personality trapped in a little dog's body. 

I've spent most of the lockdown in Jeffrey's bay, South Afrika, hanging out with Bruce Gold.

Bruce and I made a deal; I would make him jam and he will let me join him whenever and take pictures of him. We met in the mornings, as Bruce went to surf, and just after he came back.
I feel so lucky to have met him.

The Cinque Terre is a unique place with magical villages between olive and wine fields, with colorful houses and beautiful people surrounded by the sea.

Sometimes we see the most beauty by choosing the road less traveled. Here is the scarred and burnt wasteland of the recent Australian bushfires. Amongst the coal and barren trees beauty and growth is once again rising from the ashes to create new life.

I'm an ultra runner. In our training we meet early in the woods where we run. This morning I was standing by the lake, waiting for my running mate to arrive. Meanwhile, the sunrise began. An amazing and beautiful moment that I took the time to photograph while the light was absolutely magical.

A last minute road trip to Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada with my beautiful wife Hannah left us both marveling at some of nature’s precious gifts. 

Two visiting workers near the Baltic sea, found a place with a beautiful view for a heartfelt conversation.

Through my eyes as a father. 

Life has been good seeing my son’s personality come through over the last two years and half. I hope that he learns to be kind and embraces the beauty life has to offer.

First time taking my son there and he loved it. It was breath taking and he didn’t want to leave. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody

I am a photographer/videographer so naturally I named my new Beagle pup Kodak.

We recently went camping at the Mogollon Rim in Arizona and went for a hike around the lake. It’s a nice quick escape from the Phoenix summer heat! Our little pup eventually got tired of walking himself so we put him in our backpack and captured this adorable #kodakmoment

When you watch the sunset it helps you clear your mind and it allows you to dream of a new bright tomorrow. These moments are gold ?

Plus, pizza & wine along with some good company makes it even better ?

This photo was captured our first day of virtual learning.  I have two rowdy boys, ages 4 and 6.  I did a huge transformation over Christmas break 2019 and changed our playroom into a work room...which is now our virtual classroom.  Of course, having two young boys close in age, it was only fitting to capture how us mamas really feel about having our kids at home for school.  Having a small business, while being at home while trying to navigate my children through school and zoom calls isn’t easy, but I just wanted to share that even when you’re super organized and have a beautiful room, these “Kodak moments” are still happening...and I am so glad this one did because we will ALWAYS remember this time, this crazy time, but in the end, everything is going to be fine...really.

Took a like hike of the beaten path to this awesome little spot with this awesome little man.
