KODAK MOMENT of the Day

This was an incredible experience from start to finish and one photo sadly doesn’t do it any justice. We were fortunate enough to win a sunrise hot air balloon adventure tour over Dubai’s desert, which included vintage Land Rover tour across the sand dunes, and gourmet breakfast at a traditionally authentic Bedouin style camp. The morning was perfect from start to finish with memories that will last a lifetime - definitely made the 3am start all the worthwhile.

On a hike with family, we came across a monarch with a broken wing. 11 year old Ruthie decided to carry the butterfly off the trail and place her on a butterfly favorite - milkweed. This photo was when she picked her up.

Finally made the jump to start shooting analog using a Nikon FM2. After a crash course in  f-stop and shutter speed, I’m pretty happy with how my first few rolls turned out. You get all the fall feels in this picture from my recent camping trip to Pokagon State Park in Indiana, celebrating my 33rd birthday! 

We went out to go pick pumpkins. It's been a crazy year for all of us, it's all about making the most out of these moments.

When we took this picture Karsyn had just woke up. He knows he’s handsome and has a cute face. At that time I wanted to take a picture with his LoveHomie Shirt. So I was holding his hands and and was trying to get him to smile and just take a sweet picture and we did! It was a perfect Kodak moment♥️ I told his mom he can be a model, well he needs to be a model. Shoot if he has to start with #lovehomiebrand so let it be!!

Just a family Kodak moment in the beautiful city of Chicago 

I went to Zihuatanejo some weeks ago to make a fashion shoot.

The first days went fast because of the production and we didn't have enough time to sit down by the beach and enjoy a drink until this moment of this photo.

I love the fact that is the first of the roll after the shooting day and it represents exactly the moment I was able to enjoy a delicious spritz next to the beach.

After some rushy days and creative days, it made me remember that I love what I do.

I have not seen my mother’s hair out in over 20 years. She always wears a head wrap. This picture is a rarity. It’s taken to acknowledge the role she played in me loving my hair as it is. I’ve hopefully passed on this love to my daughter and to many many more as a practicing hair coach. 

A magical night with my little princess ? 

Took Lucile on a walk through the UW campus and just waited for her to work that magic of hers. It was a simple stroll but ended up with timeless moments.

I took this two weeks ago when my family got a little vacation far from the city of Bandung after 8 months of lockdown. 

It's a spontaneous snap from my little Olympus camera in which happened right after my sister saw a huge grass field near the resort we stayed in and lay herself up as if we were about to have a picnic. 

It feels surreal to see how much we have taken everything for granted.

May we survived this pandemic.

Home with my Angel tree

We got to experience the first snowfall in Lake Tahoe that past weekend.

This image was taken for a series of promotional photos, of the artist Ailsa Tully to accompany her most recent single 'Drive'. The photo series was located on the beautiful Gospel Pass, Black Mountains, in the heart of Wales.

It was shot using a Contax 167MT, on Kodacolor VR 1000 35mm - which expired in 1985 - and was shot at @ 100 iso, through a Carl Zeiss Planar 50mm f1.7.

I took my little girl to see the Christmas displays at our local garden centre for the first time and her face lit up as she saw all the Christmas trees, decorations, Santa and snowmen. I will remember that face forever and i have this beautiful picture to treasure and share her excitement with all of our friends and family

I was good with myself 

This photo was one of the last frames I took on my first ever roll of Kodak film, in my first ever analog camera. Lazing around some train tracks, my partner was keeping busy while I metered some nearby plant-life. Turning around, I found them balancing on the railing and snapped this picture.

My best friend came to visit the Yukon for a whole month after not seeing each other for over two years. This was taken on White Mountain, Yukon Territory. 

A long 12 mile hike through the Texas woods. I stopped to rest with my Minolta x700 and a fresh roll of Portra 800. 

Reminded of God’s unfailing Grace as I climb mountains and see the world from views most people only dream. Don’t let 2021 be defined by a pandemic that we can’t control. Be gracious. Be kind. Be thankful, and love so hard! 

Needing to work from home but had a clingy kitten that kept trying to snuggle up against me. What to do? Swaddle!

First snowfall of the year started late at night on Christmas Eve, waking up on Christmas Day to a beautiful white Christmas! Couldn't pass the opportunity to go for a walk in the park and shoot some pictures with my wife dressed in the season's colours.

Shot on Ektar 100, a film that's become my favourite in 2020, both in 35 and 120 format.

When I was returning home from a busy day...I looked up in the sky and saw this...I felt relaxed. 

It was my #kodakmoments 

My daughter working on her Senior project in textiles at Savannah College of Art and Design. 

Honestly this is the best part of my weekends.

I’m usually up around 4-5am six days per week, so I miss out on morning snuggles.

Any day now we’ll be adding one more cuddle bug to this weekend ritual. And I can’t hardly wait ?.

I’ve been living in Australia for almost 2 years now and I’m constantly amazed by how many new beaches I casually stumble upon in Sydney. This particular one was Turimetta Beach and it’s just one out of 100s of beaches you’ll find in Sydney. 

 Je tire de ma mémoire chaque pas que j’ai fait dans la neige. Les matins éloignés, lorsque le bus scolaire était bloqué et l’école manquée. J’ai dix ans, je fais claquer la porte d’entrée, un bonnet en laine percé sur la tête et des bottes de neige trop grandes pour moi. J’arpente la seule route du village, celle qui serpente et enserre le clocher de granit. On saute par dessus le mur du cimetière, on franchi les tombes à petits pas. Je tiens fermement dans ma main la corde de ma luge verte jusqu’à notre point d’arrivée. C’est là qu’on court essoufflées, le bonnet maintenant de travers, les gants mouillés et les genoux cabossés. On monte, on redescend le minuscule monticule qui me parait plaine, montagne, alpage. Les rires et les jeux ne réveillent pas les dormeurs éternels, enveloppés de leurs manteaux blancs. Quelques mètres plus loins, nos luges se frôlent nos souffles se perdent dans l’air gris et la fumée des cheminées. Je tire de ma mémoire chaque pas que j’ai fait dans la neige. Aujourd’hui je ne sortirai pas la luge verte, je pose la question, depuis longtemps elle a été jetée, avec tout un tas de vieux jouets.

Our puppy was a rescue and very abused prior to coming to us. This was him with my son when we first got him. He loved him right away and hank the dog was very sweet with him.
