Highlighting the power of a mother’s love. 

My Flinders University Graduation held at the Adelaide Convention Centre where I graduated from a Masters degree in Business Finance. I also hold a Bachelors degree in International Business. 

Spent the time composing the central pier of Blackpool on a sunny day, of course with the lovely Portra 400, as soon i pressed the shutter this bird passed. After developing and scanning the photos, the bird was in the shot & i recalled that moment instantly. Moments like these gives a photograph more personal value to me!

You cant go to the beach and not do a handstand 

The van sounded like it was going to fall apart on the corrugations and I’ll no doubt be cleaning red dirt out of it for the rest or my life, but it was all worth it for this view ?

My mom took me to work today, and I got to play around in all these cat trees! It was super fun, and I can’t wait till next time!

Sometimes all you need is just be out chasing sun sun with nice old Olympus OM❤️

Vacation with mom

This year, class 5c have been working hard. They have kept their spirits up despite being divided, missed friends, moved, homeschooled, and have endured the whole shabang with humor (crazy kids!). So when spring came we agreed on a lot of school out in nature together. Holmenkollen skijump is only 15 mins away, so one day we took a walk and tested the waters. You can see Holmenkollen chapel the smaller skijumps in the background. 5c is a group of wonderful little people ❤️

It was a warm evening in late May. My friends and I were walking along the Black Sea coast and then, we noticed this couple. I thought this cinematic moment should be shot on film. Click and here it is!

Our two-year-old loves water, especially when she can drink it right out of the sprinkler!

Buddy is my best mate. He comes on every photo opportunity and hike with me. It happened to be his birthday this day and I ended up catching the best photo of him instead! 

It was my first time at Coney Island, it’s a (street) photography paradise. Beautiful light, lots of colors, so many characters.

STAY AT HOME | Bau and his little cousin Evelyn haven’t got to experience life in Canada to the fullest yet- life without covid and quarantine. Throwback to the time these two fought for the window seat to look outside. Bau let her have the entire spot after she boxed him out, but they eventually shared the spot and it was such a cute Kodak moment ?. Evelyn pointed to cars that drove by and Bau focused on the squirrels he could not catch.

Spontaneous trip to our favourite beach Brydegaard Strand in Assens with four of my five kids. 5 year old Lykke Mie discovered the little aquarius in the sea and was absolutely stunned by the little creatures in the water along the beach and wanted to show me how amazing they were ?

During summer, the golden hour light in Cornwall is like nothing else. I’d always wanted to shoot some portraits in the corn fields with this light. So I took out a roll of Kodak Portra 800 on my 6x6 medium format Kowa six and blasted a roll. This frame stood out to me for its simplicity and the feeling it creates :)

A uniq fact about life is that the most unexpected moments are the most memorable moments.

I am a producer, and in 2018, June , I was shooting for Philips at Lukkien Studios and it was my birthday, our photographer asked me to pose next to one of our guest stars from the commercial , an amazing golden retriever , so I did!

If I had a dollar for every time someone has told me I’m too extra. Yet that same level of “extra” is what keeps me young and draws new people to me. Til the day I die I will always be me and I will always let the child inside of me live freely. Now excuse me while I drink from my fountain.

When multiple elements in photography come together. 

⁣Gelato tastes like summer. You know the one.... the summer of childhood....like the smell of chlorine & sunscreen. The feeling of a squishy sand and soft grass under your toes. That feeling of a warm shower and comfy clothes after a day at the beach.⠀

Having had a lot of time of going nowhere, you really get to think about where you’ve been. Italy has been on my mind, but it’s nothing grandiose. It’s the little things, like the drippy scoops of gelato while sitting on a dock and watching the most fascinating people walk by.....it’s my kids eating pizza and sipping Fanta while giggling with their friends in the comforting warm and cozy glow in Tuscany....it’s hearing the rain from a summer storm, pouring outside, while we eat dinner and have conversations with our friends in Lake Como. ⠀

What do all these memories have in common? Food and people. A couple of the best things on earth, that seem to be at the root of every good memory and story. It’s not about the place as much as it is about everything else. You don’t have to go to Italy to make lasting memories. Great memories can happen just about anywhere.⠀

That’s my hope for this summer. That in all  of its normal imperfections, that the memories that last will be about the things that matter. I’m talking shared: meals, time, stories, and laughs. We missed a lot of that last Summer, but I’m really hoping we can make up for a lot of it this year. ⠀
