KODAK MOMENT of the Day

The day was sort of gloomy, miserable type of  vibe day but my mood wasn’t. I really enjoyed this casual, candid moment with my friend and having her looked at me at this particular moment gave the atmosphere an immaculate vibe and I’m glad I was able to capture that specific moment. 

My boyfriend (now fiancé!) have been doing long distance while I am attending school in San Francisco and he is living in Santa Barbara. Whenever he comes to visit, I like to show him my favorite new spots in the city. In this photo, I took him to the Legion of Honor in the Presidio and we admired some of the most beautiful views of the city.

When I went to drop my Furbaby off to her groomer, the first thing she said was, “You’re matching the building!” I said, “Selfie time!” What a #kodakmoment 

Even with her face half hidden, my mum always had style! We never ever missed a photo booth opportunity. 

This is why we click list! Crazy doing grocery shopping with kiddos. We usually do click list so we don’t have to shop in the store. Do you usually shop with kiddos or delivery/pick up.

Best gift on earth is being a Mommy

This is an image I shot on a street-photography walk. I love to take portraits of people I meet who look interesting, and these four girls walking together captured my eye. They look confident and strong, and also so very sweet. I love the vintage feel that ultramax400 gave to this image!

This is my most memorable day the day where I got my first degree in the university of Johannesburg not any just any degree but IT degree and am so happy since am the first in my family to have this accomplishment and the first in my family to go to university. A simple moment with my love in Marseille ( France)

Growing up in France, the idea of sitting on the tailgate of a pickup truck had always been part of my fantasies, a certain idea of America and of freedom. Decades later, while visiting my in laws in Texas, I had the opportunity to manifest an image that had represented life in America for so long for me. My nephew Wesley happened to be sitting on the tailgate of our truck with our dog Gibby, and I just had to snap the image.

When I first came to the Florida Institute of Technology I could never have imagined that in just four short years I would be where I am today. Im so thankful for everything and everyone who has helped me on my journey through college, equality, and ultimately to space, and I can’t wait to continue this at the University of Edinburgh 💜.  Cheers to all our graduating seniors of 2022! 🎉

these are the moments i love to photograph. it started with a laundry basket on the stairs but soon after the sunlight and sisters joined in— these are the moments that make me run the fastest for my camera. 

My boyfriend took this picture of me when we were traveling around Monterey bay. It was beautiful that day, we waited for the sunset at the beach. 

I had planned this shot out the night before to catch the sunrise through turret arch at Arches National Park. Shot on Portra 400 and Pentax 67, my 67 was giving issues all morning and finally died shortly after sunrise. But I was able to get a handful of images before its demise.

Driving through Twizel on the way back to Christchurch, this bridge is a bit of a locals spot. I used to jump off here back in the day when I did rowing so knew of its existence. Being severely hungover with the temperature hitting 30 degrees, we knew it would be a crime to not go for jump. An absolute necessity to wake you up in the mid Canterbury region.

Shot on the University of Washington campus. Captured on Kodak Gold 200 for 120 film. This roll is probably my first successful use of Gold where I caught the exact colors I was looking for, and I’m looking forward to shooting on it more as we break through this summer.

It’s simple things in life that mean the most 

My ten month old calls for her dada frequently throughout the day. If the front door is left open, she’ll stand at the screen door and call for him, hoping to see him come home. It’s the most precious thing I’ve ever seen!

This amazing Kodak moment was taken when we were on our holiday visiting Athens.

My little girl was throwing a tantrum wanting to be mischievous, and my husband was trying to calm her down and take care of her. And in the middle of her fussing and crying I kept taking photos and ended up taking this wonderful photo that is truly magical.

All smiles during my first time to #horseshoebend. An incredible sight despite it was overcast, chilly and even rained when my friend and I visited just briefly. Of course I had to send some energy out to the devas of the area and for world peace.

At Mortimer farms enjoying the sunflower fields with friends. 

Myself and one of my best mates Harvey always catch up when Im in town by going for a late night photo walk. We find it's the best way we get creative, and we always bounce ideas off one another. Using my Rolleiflex, I heard I could pull of double exposures by recocking the shutter, albeit very meticulously. I managed to find some colder fairy lights, pushed the focus as far out as I could and shot the frame. Merely 50 metres from these fairy lights was a alleyway at Riverside Market in Christchurch which has some warmer lighting, perfect for a portrait. It all seemed to click into place as I framed Harvey. I used to work at Photo & Video in Christchurch, a very popular camera store, which is how me and Harvey met, so we went down the very next day to get the roll developed. As you can imagine, seeing the negative our faces were in awe.

My first vacation in the US in 2005 meeting my nieces and nephew. We took pro photos in the mountains with a family friend before I returned home to New Zealand. Its’ been 17 years and I miss them dearly. Hoping to reunite again some time soon.
