As a photographer who specializes in day in the life sessions for families, moments are kind of my thing.  <3  I loved capturing this sweet dad daughter connection, and the beautiful light was a wonderful bonus.  

Christmas is the best time of the year for me.
The sparkling lights, Christmas tree, Christmas decorations, Christmas markets and Santa clause gives so much joy and hope to me everytime I see them. I love all of it.

A little bit of Christmas cheer is what we need all around the year.

Travelling in Toronto during christmas time ✨

This came from a wonderful moment visiting my home island Curaçao which is famous for its beautiful bays.
 

During beach day nephews were shouting, laughing and playing. That’s when I saw my mother looking at her daughter and grandchildren playing and enjoying themselves. A beautiful warm day, perfect with the Porta400 and the lovely surrounding.  I loved the composition with the foreground middle part and background. The ‘action’ shot was all fun and fortunate timing.

I was on vacation in Pamama City Beach Florida and stumbled upon this ginormous Christmas Ornament. I felt like a little kid, running towards it. Kyle was happy to capture such a joyful moment for me! This perfectly captures what I think Joy is! 

I’m super excited that Santa Claus is coming soon! Mom captured this joyful moment as we’re awaiting Santa’s arrival!

This Christmas season I hope that you feel a slowdown for your family — that you slow down and be present, that you enjoy every sip of hot cocoa with your kids, that you don’t immediately move the clump of ornaments around to how you want them.

Just BE + enjoy the magical moments.

Even the Grinch had a dog.  So if you don’t like dogs,  you might need to do some soul searching.

I've been reflecting a lot on the season I've gone through with my family & the season I'm currently in.​​​​​​​​

Something that I'm definitely proud of is being able to prioritize my business around my family & everyday busy lifestyle. It's so easy to feel like I want & need more, but never sacrificing my family allowed for success to still happen. ​​​​​​​​

Today I sit in gratitude. As much pressure I put on myself, God finds a way to provide.​​​​​​​​

During the master a fantastic bond was formed between girls from all over the province of Bari ..... Maria had been missing for a very long time and when we saw her again we welcomed her with a fantastic song

A bunch of us set out for Long Beach in Tofino  BC. It was late august which  is always my favourite time to go because the sunsets are absolutely amazing and there’s always airplanes landing right behind the beach. This time I didn’t forget my film like the previous trip (facepalm) so the hype was real. Well It didn’t take too long for a plane to meander into my frame while I was taking a picture of my buddy with his surfboard annnnnd *Click* 

My dear friend Lemon asked me to take engagement photos for her and her fiancé earlier this autumn. It was my first time doing couple portraits on film, but I'm so happy with how they turned out. These shots really capture their love for each other and their life in the Chinese countryside. 

Sitting in the door of the wardrobe leading to Narnia and having a book open on her lap created a beautiful double meaning for this portrait of my daughter. Taken in my childhood home. 

My little girl had just woke up from her nap and I set her on this little table. Our new puppy absolutely loves her and had to be up by her to make sure she was safe. They’re the best little friends. 

The elated feeling one gets when a client pays for a job well done.

After finishing a short hike up a hill with a rocky peak, I looked over at my buddy boy, Axel, and snapped a photo. It warmed my heart to look back at my phone and see how Axel smiled back at me.

Something our little family loves is traveling together. Road trips are a way for us to connect while we journey to a fun destination. Even our dog Atlas has a smile in the backseat, ready to go!

Our orange (tailless) manx cat, Edgrrrr, loves getting his morning drink from our sink. 

My grandmother used to have a cottage on the river and it was a place that served as the backdrop for many family activities and events growing up. This picture was made during one of our last summers there. My sister was watching me adjust my camera and when I saw her composure I just lifted and clicked without a second thought. It felt like a scene that would be important again one day. 

This was a family shoot and the weather was so bad.

We found an interesting place where we could shoot without getting wet. 

My son is in 8th grade now and I can’t believe he’ll start high school next year. In a blink of an eye he’ll be in college and I’ll miss seeing him doing his homework at the dining table. Images like this are even more valuable to me as time goes by. 

On January 3, 2022, Washington, DC received 8.5 inches of snow. It only lasted one day. I decided to seize upon the moment, load up some Kodak Portra 400 in my Canon AE-1 Program, and shoot some photos on Capitol Hill. I met up with some friends and shot this sweet photo of them!

This moment came from a 5 week trip travelling around the U.S. and Canada.

My husband and I are trying to get the boys outside more often. We are all definitely happier when we are active instead of couch potatoes.

We traveled to Spain to spend time with my parents and each other. We hiked up the hills with the six of us near Relleu and it was stunning!

Days spent together. Papa and Frankie, the best of buddies who love their days together exploring. Walking, public transport, eating out, parks, plane spotting, you name it they do it.  I loved this photo I captured of a frosty Winter morning, the sunlight and them hand in hand.

This image is taken from the first roll of my new medium format camera, Pentax 645 on a 155mm lens. I enjoy shooting portraits most, and there’s something special about taking portraits of the girl you love. This one marked a special weekend, with many more to come.
