I was driving down a country road when this simple tree caught my eye, but I kept on going. About 300 yards later, something in my gut said "turn around." I did a quick U-ie in the middle of the road and, although I took several shots, it was the first one I took that ended up being the best. It is special to me in that it reminded me of the value of listening to, and trusting, your heart. That surreal moment in the road created a surreal photograph.
