This is one of 17 wild turkeys in my neighborhood. It is interesting to see when mating season arrives how the male turkeys puff up and shake their entire bodies to attract attention and ward off potential competition. This is a photo of my group of friends wandering around Venice, searching for Piazza San Marco, during Carnivale, February 2010. Judging by the fact that there were no other people on this path we were not walking in the right direction yet.
