These elevators use to dot the landscape in western Canada and every small town had one. Now with the advent of super terminals, they are slowly being closed and torn down. This shot was taken in Sedley Saskatchewan Canada. Anyone who has driven through western Canada has seen these, and they have some meaning to people who live near them. Lighthouses have special appeal, blending nature with the hand of man. Bass Harbor Lighthouse is in Acadia National Park, Maine. I took this moody photo after the sun had set.

The colours and the detail of this picture bring back fond memories of a great Safari at the Masai Mara Reserve in Kenya. The Masai tribes have been exposed to a tremendous amount of ?westernization? but have managed to retain many of their traditions.
