There are moments hiking in the mountains that are difficult to capture because of the light and time of day. I was so pleased when everything worked in this photo. I took the picture September of 2007 in the mountains of Idaho. The lake is on the Norton Lakes trail in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. I think of this picture as a "thank you" to nature. This is the old Shot Tower which can be found protected inside a mall in Melbourne, Australia. It has a steel and glass structure encompassing it. I took this while on holiday in Melbourne late 2007. This picture is special to me because I have always considered my foster Mom (from when I was 13 and still now at 31) to be my Angel. In this picture she is doing what she always does, and that is talking to the Heavens. I think it is very strong creativly especially with the simplicity of the antique look and the light on her face.
