After a day of hiking on the mountain we were treated to a spectacular display of lightning. And a challange for me to get a decent photo of the cloud. It was taken from top of Mt. Nebo in north west Arkansas. The storm was close to Lake Dardanelle. Equipment: Kodachrome 64 slide film. Minolta 201, 50mm lens, rubberband, button and a small stick. We saw this mother elephant and her baby near Little Vumbura, Botswana in May, 2008.
The similar poses of the mother and baby, with the baby nestled under it's mother, show the close relation of mother and child.
