Khattak is a swift martial sword-dance performed by professional dancers from the Khattak tribe of Pashtuns in Afghanistan and Pakistan. With Swords in their hands and feet in the air, this set of performers danced to the drummers drumbeat which slowly increased in pitch with matching increase by the tempo of the performers. I was asked to shoot at a local school during the visit of a Scottish poet during several classes. At one of the breaks we had a brief tour of the school and I saw this.
