This swan took up residence in a pond that was flooded by torrential rains. The swan started to hiss as I neared it, so I quickly backed away to avoid upsetting it more. Ah, poor Maddie. Made to sit and hold up a sign saying hold old she is (5 months), and wear a paper birthday hat. With all 3 of our children, I've taken monthly shots of them the first year to watch them grow.

This is a special photo to me because I love capturing the innocence of children in photography, and that's what this makes me think of.
It was taken during the summer in front of my house while my son was playing with the hose and I was watering flowers.
