Voices of the Past Voices of the Past Finding and old abandoned structure which I think is a school house in the plains of eastern Oregon was a treat. I could almost hear the voices of children at play, and the ringing of the school bell calling them back inside. This was a private farm pond in eastern South Africa - an area known for its early morning mists. I loved the stillness of the scene against the harsh textures of the old wooden stump.
